Canine mounts includes wolves, durzogs, foxes, and snowdogs. Wolves can howl, and you pump your fist in the air as it does so. Durzogs bellow, or roar, when prompted. Foxes let out a roar when reared up.
Adamant Dwarven Wolf[edit]
- The shining metal known as Dwarven Adamant is an alloy melding ores of unknown origin into the most durable material ever made. Though found in parts of the ultra-rare Adamant Dwarven Wolf, the secret of its forging seems as lost as the Dwemer themselves.

Akaviri Potentate Wolf[edit]

Auroran Polychrome Wolf[edit]

The Auroran Polychrome Wolf is a canine mount. It is available as a Radiant Apex-level reward in the Unfeathered Crown Crates. It can also be bought directly from the Crown Store for 1,200 Gems/ 16,000 Seals of Endeavor while the Unfeathered season is active. Its default name is "Eternity".
Auroran Zenith Warwolf[edit]
- Followers of Meridia who assist Aurorans can gain enough favor to earn one of their wolf steeds. Trained for war, these wolves stay the course even in siege situations, making them excellent mounts for all manner of dangerous situations.
The Auroran Zenith Warwolf was available in the Crown Store for 3,500 from January 13 to January 20, 2022. Its default name is "Lightseeker".
Autumn Messenger Fox[edit]
- "As kits, these rambunctious little trouble-making furballs keep this one on her toes. But their predilection for trouble when young works in your favor—their ability to sense harm is nearly magical. Perfect for messenger work!"—Tesusah, Stablemaster
The Autumn Messenger Fox will be available in the Crown Store for 2,500 from November 16th to November 22nd, 2023. Its default name is "Troublefinder".
Baandari Pedlar Brindle Wolf[edit]
- The Baandari Pedlars find the keen sense of smell that their wolf mounts possess to be a useful source of extra profit. They sometimes offer their services as trackers, but only if other profit is not at hand!
The Baandari Pedlar Brindle Wolf is available as an Apex-level reward in Baandari Pedlar Crates. Its default name is "Lolltongue".
Black Drake Howler[edit]
- These wolves were among the first creatures to storm Evermore when the Reachmen's attack broke through the city's walls. Each wolf's unique markings display their lineage with some incorporating designs from Durcorach's beloved howler herself.
The Black Drake Howler was available in the Crown Store for 2,500 during the Whitestrake's Mayhem event in 2022. Its default name is "Battle Fang".
Blazeborn Wolf[edit]
- None can say the Blazeborn Wolf lacks a bold appearance, formed from flames as it is. Even bolder, though, is its temperament, making it a perfect companion for racing through icy wastes to confront foes you deem worthy of your courage!
The Blazeborn Wolf was available in the Crown Store for 600 from February 18 to February 25, 2021. Its default name is "Fireheart".
Bleakrock Snowdog[edit]
- Originally hailing from Bleakrock Isle, these blue-eyed canines love playing in the frosty air and snow of that distant spit of land. In fact, the locals often bring them inside at night just so that they aren't awoken by their antics in the morning.
The Bleakrock Snowdog is a large canine mount, similar to a husky in appearance. It was available in the Crown Store for 3,000 from January 5 to January 19, 2023. Its default name is "Slushy".
Brimstone Death Hound[edit]
- Be careful! This beast is meaner than a durzog and hot as a fire atronach. The furnace in its chest gives it incredible power and an appetite to match. I can't remember when last this one was fed. Best not to find out."—Kallin, House Ravenwatch
The Brimstone Death Hound is a canine mount available in the Crown Store from October 10 to October 14, 2024 for 4,000 . Its default name is "Burnblister".
Cinder Wolf[edit]
- This appears to be a reanimated undead corpse of a wolf mount that was burned to death in some horrific event, and has returned hell-bent on vengeance. An intimidating ride, for sure!
The Cinder Wolf is a fiery skeletal wolf that is available as a Radiant Apex-level reward in the Reaper's Harvest Crown Crates. Its default name is "Old Char".
Cold Flame Atronach Wolf[edit]
- After years of conjuring, Peregrine Direnni sought a new Daedra to compel to be her mount. She took an immediate liking to the Cold-Flame Atronach, found in the Daedric realm of Takubar. Summoning it in the form of a wolf just added extra flair.
The Cold Flame Atronach Wolf is a blue Flame Atronach wolf that is available as a Radiant Apex-level reward in the Flame Atronach Crown Crates. Its default name is "Blueflame".
Crypt Warden Death Hound[edit]
- Once these death hounds served crypt wardens exclusively, stalking the gloomy barrows of Skyrim in search of prey. Now, thanks to an ingenious mage from Solitude, these mounts can serve you, lending you their menacing air.
The Crypt Warden Death Hound is available from purchasing the Greymoor Collector's Edition. Its default name is "Ripper".
Cursebound Wolf[edit]
- Teeth. Lots of sharp teeth. Jutting from gums pulled back in a mirthless, rictus grin. Eager to devour anyone in its path. Yet if you're brave enough to ride it, those frightful teeth will eagerly snap at your foes.
The Cursebound Wolf is available as an Apex-level reward in Nightfall Crates. Its default name is "Reaper".
Dark Aeon Wolf[edit]
- The corrupting presence of Dark Aeon can twist the local wildlife, such as this wolf, into crystalline creatures. Green tendrils accompany you as you race on its back, providing you both with an otherworldly presence.
The Dark Aeon Wolf is available as a radiant apex-level reward in Frost Atronach Crates. Its default name is "Aeonrunner".
Dark Brotherhood Durzog[edit]
- Unlike other durzogs, which can become vocal when they sense their prey is near, those trained by the Dark Brotherhood have been bred for speed and silence.
The Dark Brotherhood Durzog is available as an Apex-level reward in the Dark Brotherhood Crates. Its default name is "Banished Biter".
Doom Wolf[edit]
- Bred for size and savagery from the fierce timber wolves of the southern Jerall Mountains, the Doom Wolf has been adopted as the mount of choice by the secretive and deadly Dark Brotherhood.
The Doom Wolf is a black wolf with glowing red eyes previously available in the Crown Store for 2,500 from July 21 to July 25, 2016. Its default name is "Nightfur". It makes a distorted sound when howling.
A promotional code for the Doom Wolf was included with purchases of The Fall of the Dark Brotherhood story for The Elder Scrolls: Legends, although it only works for PC/Mac. As of March 8, 2019, it is no longer possible to get a Doom Wolf promo code from a Legends purchase.
Dragonfire Wolf[edit]
- Ancient legends from the time of the Dragon Wars tell of Dragon Knights riding into battle mounted on colossal flaming wolves. Were they wolf mounts mystically imbued with Dragonfire? Flame Atronachs conjured in the form of wolves? No one knows.

Dragonscale Barded Wolf[edit]

Dreadsail Howler[edit]

Duskember Fox[edit]
- A rare sight, these colorful foxes keep to the shadows in the wild. When trained to the saddle, they proudly display their glossy coats and fine saddlery. Their favorite food is snow berries, and they will do almost anything for their daily treat.
The Duskember Fox is available as a Legendary-level reward in Ragebound Crown Crates. Its default name is "Gambolprance".
Dwarven Wolf[edit]
- Dwarven Wolves, or Lupine Vamidiums, are most often seen in proximity to Dwemer ruins of northern and western Skyrim, where wolves are most common in the wild. Its loping gait is said to give the most comfortable ride of any mechanical mount.
The Dwarven Wolf is a Dwarven Automaton-themed mount, or "vamidium". It is available from the Crown Store via Dwarven Crown Crates as an Apex-level reward. Its default name is "Btharumz".
Ebon Dwarven Wolf[edit]
- "There is no evidence that the Dwemer kept dogs, or pets of any other kind, for that matter, but like their neighbors the Nords they did seem to have some affection for the Wolves of northern Tamriel. One sees this in their mounts." —Thelwe Ghelein
The Ebon Dwarven Wolf is available via the Antiquities system. This mount is split into 17 fragments, found throughout the base game and Western Skyrim. You'll need to collect all seventeen pieces in order to form the mount. Its default name is "Blackwolf".

Emberthroat Warzog[edit]
- Bred for war by the Netch Gouger Goblins, these vicious war durzogs require a firm hand or even magical coercion to stop when they have prey within their jaws. Their primitive precocity makes them good choices for those who frequently confront agile foes.
The Emberthroat Warzog is a durzog mount that was available in the Crown Store for 3,000 from March 3 to March 10, 2022. Its default name is "Gromp".
Flame Atronach Wolf[edit]
- "An oversized Flame Atronach Wolf makes for an impressive mount," wrote arch-conjurer Corvus Direnni, "but it's inconvenient to house such a steed in flammable stables. When I'm not riding mine, I temporarily lodge it in a pocket realm Adjacent Place."
This Flame Atronach-themed wolf is available as an Apex-level reward in Flame Atronach Crates. Its default name is "Flameloper".
Flint-Pelt Fox[edit]
- Legend tells of a Breton hunter who freed a Flint-Pelt Fox from a hagraven's snare. Now these creatures seek out any warrior who calls hagravens "foe," often lingering around areas terrorized by their hated enemies.
The Flint-Pelt Fox is a canine mount that was distributed as the day 10 daily login reward for August 2023. Its default name is "Nimblepaw".
Frost Atronach Wolf[edit]
- Two mages crafted this mount, then had a deadly falling out over whether to share their research. Now you can ride it into the frozen peaks of Skyrim with no problems … or enjoy its coolness in the blistering heat of the Alik'r.
The Frost Atronach Wolf is available as an Apex-level reward in Frost Atronach Crown Crates. Its default name is "Sharpnose".
Frostbane Wolf[edit]
- The Sacred Wolf was one of the most revered Atmoran animal totems, associated by later Nords with the goddess Mara. The great Frostbane Wolf is therefore one of the most iconic mounts of the ancient Nords.
The Frostbane Wolf is available as an Apex-level reward in the Scalecaller Crown Crates. Its default name is "Totem Eyes".
Frostborn Durzog Mangler[edit]
- The magic of the Icereach Coven shapes these striped durzogs in the womb, and handlers train the pups to the saddle. To transfer loyalty to a new rider, that rider should sleep with the saddle for a few days before attempting to mount the durzog.
The Frostborn Durzog Mangler is available in the Crown Store for 3,000 . It first became available on August 24, 2020 for PC and Mac, and September 1, 2020 for Xbox and PlayStation 4. It is also available in the Stonethorn Collector's Bundle. Its default name is "Rumbletummy".
Fungiflare Wolf[edit]

Glenumbra Border Wolf[edit]
- Though in coloration the Glenumbra Border Wolf resembles certain Breton dog breeds, this sturdy and stoic mount is no dog, and will carry a High Rock courier for leagues through dark night and heavy weather.
The Glenumbra Border Wolf is available as a Legendary-level reward in Sovngarde Crates. Its default name is "Moor-Rover".
Gloam Wolf[edit]
- The uncanny Gloam Wolf hails from the Oblivion plane of the Daedric Prince Nocturnal. Sometimes, the Night Mistress will reward a loyal Tamrielic worshiper with a Gloam Wolf Mount sent permanently to Nirn.
The Gloam Wolf was available from the Crown Store for 400 during ESO's 2019 Anniversary Jubilee, from April 25 through May 9 as a Crown Gem exclusive. It resembles a Gloam Wolf, which serves the Daedric Prince Nocturnal. Its default name is "Blackshadow".
Gloomspore Wolf[edit]

Gorne Striped Wolf[edit]
- The Isle of Gorne off the east coast of Morrowind is home to many strange creatures found nowhere else in Tamriel. One of these is the giant Striped Wolf, packs of which terrorized the island's settlers till they were suppressed in the Troubled House Hunt.

Helkarn Wolf[edit]
- Hailing from the heart of Elsweyr, these striped mounts are known for their gentle and trusting natures. Once they found them incompetent as watchdogs, the villagers of Helkarn bred them to mountable size.

Highland Wolf[edit]
- The brown Highland Wolf is common in the Colovian hills and in Cyrodiil's Great Forest, where wild packs are feared by farmers and shepherds. But foresters have domesticated the beasts and, bred for size, use them as mounts.
The Highland Wolf is a gray-brown wolf available in the Crown Store for 1,800 . It was released alongside the Dark Brotherhood DLC. Its default name is "Rislav the Righteous".
Hollowjack Daedra-Skull Wolf[edit]
- Conventional wisdom holds that these bizarre and eerie Skull mounts are just riding wolves imbued with a haunting illusory appearance—but some whisper that they aren't from Tamriel at all, but summoned from the Hollowjack half-world or demi-plane.

Ice Wolf[edit]
- The Ice Wolf of the far north can grow to tremendous size—which is probably why the Nords of Hjaalmarch decided to ride them. Domesticating giant Ice Wolves wasn't an easy task, but it's just the kind of challenge a Nord loves.
The Ice Wolf is a white wolf with blue eyes. It was available in the Crown Store for 2,500 from December 8 to December 12, 2016. It returned from December 20, 2018 to January 2, 2019 It is also available as a Legendary-level reward in Flame Atronach Crown Crates. Its default name is "Blizzard".
Infernal Trickster Death Hound[edit]
- This hound's attire may suggest that it was once a fun-loving companion; there is nothing playful about it now. This resurrected creature is not for the faint of heart, but it will show loyalty in not setting you ablaze with its fiery muzzle.
The Infernal Trickster Death Hound is a Radiant Apex-level reward in Grim Harlequin Crates. Its default name is "Bone Breaker".
Iron Atronach Wolf[edit]
- Of all the Iron Atronach's diverse forms, the wolf comes hardest. Atronachs resent the wolves' pack reliance and yearn for a shape befitting their solitary nature. Mages who bend these molten goliaths into a lupine form are among the strongest in Tamriel.

Ja'zennji Siir Fox[edit]

Karthwolf Charger[edit]
- In the valley of the Karth, the Reach clans have domesticated the fierce ice wolves, which they have bred for size and endurance to serve as mounts. A raiding party of Reach warriors riding Karthwolf Chargers is a fearsome sight indeed.
The Karthwolf Charger was previously available in the Crown Store for 3000 from (?) to November 6, 2017. It was also in the Horns of the Reach Collector's Bundle for 4000 . The Karthwolf Charger is now available as a Legendary-level reward in Dragonscale Crates. Its default name is "Ice Loper".
Lucent Guardian Wolf[edit]
- Traded in the merchant stalls of Fargrave, this beast is far from its native home in the depths of Valenwood. Specially trained to hunt Daedra from every realm, it tracks even the largest Ogrim without fear or uncertainty.
The Lucent Guardian Wolf is available as an Apex-level reward in the Mirrormoor Crate Crates. Its default name is "Shimmersnout".
Mind-Shriven Wolf[edit]

Nenalata Ayleid Wolf[edit]

Oak-Ember Forge Wolf[edit]
- A young blacksmith raised a foundling wolf decades ago, thus training the first of the Oak-Ember Forge Wolves as a steed. With its unusual fur pattern, you're sure to make an impression on those around you.

Order of the Lamp Jackal[edit]
- Cunning and fast, this jackal has a laughing bark that echoes for miles. While they can be somewhat wild even to their riders, the jackal's preternatural ability to find shortcuts and quick exits has made it a preferred mount for many Lamp Knights.
The Order of the Lamp Jackal is available as an Apex-level reward in the Order of the Lamp Crates. Its default name is "Cackle".
Ossified Rime Wolf[edit]

Packlord Nightmare Wolf[edit]
- Lord of the Nightmare Pack, this night-black Wolf mount has burning paws and flames hissing from its face and tail; can anyone doubt that its origin must be Mehrunes Dagon's plane of the Deadlands?
The Packlord Nightmare Wolf was available in the Crown Store for 3,000 from September 27 to October 1, 2018. Its default name is "Howlfire".
Painted Wolf[edit]
- In the rugged badlands of central Hammerfell, even camels struggle to maneuver across the broken terrain. But wolves can go where even camels cannot, so the roving Redguards of the canyon lands have bred the local Painted Wolves into sure-footed mounts.

Scorched Alley Howler[edit]

Shadowghost Wolf[edit]
- Unlike nearly all other wolves, the Shadowghost Wolf has no pack and lives a solitary life, haunting lonely moors and wastelands, appearing only at night and rarely then. Some doubt it is a real creature of the mortal plane at all.
