Featured Articles are articles the wiki's users deem to be of the highest quality and should be held up as an example for other articles. Articles are nominated for this status below. Users then review the nominees for content, style, completeness, and overall quality and place their vote.

A gallery of older Featured Articles can be found here. Similarly, the archives of previous nominations can be found here. Note that not all failed nominations are included. High-quality images can be nominated for featured status at Featured Images.

Featured Article Process

Any registered member (once autoconfirmed) can nominate any article at any time. Nominated articles should be of high quality and meet the wiki's style guidelines. They will frequently be recently completed articles or articles that have just undergone a substantial rewrite, but older articles are also suitable candidates.

To nominate an article, list it on the bottom of this page with a three-tier heading, (===Example===), and briefly explain why you think the article should be given featured status.

After an article has been nominated, any registered member (once autoconfirmed) can vote to support or oppose each nomination. Each member can only vote once for a given article, but a member may change his/her vote by striking out the original vote and replacing it with the revised vote.

To vote on an article, state whether you support or oppose the article for featured article status. A vote should be in bold, and all votes must be signed. For example:
* '''Support''': <Comment> --~~~~ or
* '''Oppose''': <Comment> --~~~~

Commenting with your vote is optional, but if you oppose a nomination, please state how the article must be improved to get your support for featured status.

If you are not yet ready to vote but would still like to add your thoughts, you may use:

* '''Comment''': <Comment> --~~~~ or
* '''Question''': <Question> --~~~~

And fill in your concerns or questions.

UESP Administrators will periodically make decisions on article nominations. Decisions will only be made if:

  • The article has been nominated for more than seven days.
  • Five or more votes have been placed.
  • A clear consensus has been reached (either supported or opposed for featured status).

Nominations not meeting these criteria will be left open until a decision can be reached or it becomes clear that there will be no consensus, even if voting is left open.

Articles whose nominations pass will receive featured article status on the front page for at least two weeks and receive a small bronze star (Featured star.svg) on the top right corner. If an article achieves featured status before the present featured article's two weeks expire, it must wait its turn.

Nominations and Votes

Lore:Pelinal Whitestrake

Recently greatly improved page for a very popular lore figure, does a great job of stating many of his alleged feats without being overly biased.

  • Support: As nominator.Tarponpet (talk) 4:59 PM, Feburary 2nd, 2024 (EST)
  • Support: Yeah I think Pelinal and Umaril are deserving of the nod now. I’m happy the standards of featured lore articles have went way up. Hopefully we can have zero "events of game" sources in lore space one day. Dcking20 (talk) 17:41, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
  • Support: I really like breaking up the info into multiple sections, gives the article a nice flow and categorization that other Lore:People pages often lack with large history sections. Mindtrait0r (talk) 02:36, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
  • Support: A well-written and researched article that manages to bring some clarity to one of the most ambiguous figures in lore.--Draugluin (talk) 05:30, 14 May 2024 (UTC)

Lore:Umaril the Unfeathered

Nominating for similar reason to Pelinal, page that was recenrly improved to be more appropriate for the major character. Also includes some obscure ESO sources that might have been overlooked otherwise

  • Support: As nominator.Tarponpet (talk) 4:59 PM, Feburary 2nd, 2024 (EST)
  • Support: Same opinion as Pelinal vote — Unsigned comment by Dcking20 (talkcontribs) at 17:42 on 26 February 2024 (UTC)
  • Oppose: While I appreciate the strength of delving into obscure sources, the page follows follows a fairly typical Lore:People setup with almost all the content under History. Aformentioned Lore:Pelinal Whitestrake breaks this formula which is why I think it deserves the feature above Umaril. Mindtrait0r (talk) 02:36, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
  • Support: Very informative article, though I do think it could use another section or two, maybe something about his powers. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 06:15, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
  • Support: As for Pelinal.--Draugluin (talk) 05:32, 14 May 2024 (UTC)

Lore:Eternal Champion

Now that the more unknown heroes have finally had their own respective pages created, this is easily the most refined and researched out of the lot. It's a good template to use as reference for future heroes (and current ones whose pages still need to be worked on) and is well written and thoroughly referenced without leaning on any one player's personal experiences playing as the character themselves.

  • Support: As nominator. --Rezalon (talk) 00:14, 16 March 2024 (UTC)
  • Oppose: A good article but I don't see a specific element in which it shines other than the necessary line toe-ing that comes with Hero characters, which is too niche to be feature-worthy. Mindtrait0r (talk) 02:36, 18 March 2024 (UTC)

I observed the sandbox and Jimeee's work for a longer while. It's an incredibly detailed and comprehensive compilation of statues in the Elder Scrolls franchise. It took months to prepare, is one of the largest pages on the site, and certainly deserves recognition.

  • Support: amazing --TheRockWithAMedicineCupOnHisHead (talk) 19:00, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
  • Support: Nothing to discuss with this one, it should be a featured article right now it’s incredible, it needs some kind of special recognition like a platinum featured star. Dcking20 (talk) 19:27, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
  • Oppose as One Page: Looks very comprehensive, and congratulations to Jimeee for publishing it! However, I'm not liking this as a single page. It took almost a whole minute to load properly on my computer, and my internet isn't all that slow. It needs to be broken up based on the Table of Contents categories, sort of how "Transportation" is four pages in the appendices. Or perhaps split based on culture of origin? Full support if broken up somehow. —Dillonn241 (talk) 06:04, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
    • Support: Updating vote after page split —Dillonn241 (talk) 01:35, 8 May 2024 (UTC)
  • Oppose for now: Per Dillon. It also took forever to load for me, would be a great candidate to split based on size. —Legoless (talk) 08:25, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
Comment: I noted my points around load times on the talk page and it's been a concern for me the whole time I wrote it, to the extent the I tried to optimize many of the images on the page as much as possible. A split would be a last resort for me as I consider it a single, complete, one-page article - but I totally appreciate the reason given for splitting.--Jimeee (talk) 08:50, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
Comment: It's only going to continue to grow in size, and it seems to have some natural splitting points already based on the TOC. I think it's only prudent to put some structure on it. —Legoless (talk) 09:01, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
  • Oppose for now: As per previous votes. Many of the images wouldn't load at all for me.--Draugluin (talk) 11:16, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
    • Support: Much better. Amazingly comprehensive.--Draugluin (talk) 10:56, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: I wonder why it’s having issues loading on anyone’s pcs given that I never have issues loading the article whatsoever on my smartphone. Dcking20 (talk) 11:51, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
    • Comment: Once you have all the images cached, it's much faster. The initial load is what's very slow. —Dillonn241 (talk) 13:33, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
    • Comment: Indeed it's likely cached images. I had hoped the img optimizations would have helped the load time, but given it seems to be quite a problem, I'll have a think about how a split could work out, because the user experience is more important to me than having it all on one page. --Jimeee (talk) 14:17, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
  • Update: I have now split the page based on the TOC because it seems the page load issues are too big to overcome. The sub-pages load much better, so hopefully that clears up the above concerns.--Jimeee (talk) 17:41, 4 May 2024 (UTC)
  • Support: Fantastic, amazing amount of research and covers such a wide variety of subjects with care! --Tarponpet (talk) 7:23, 5 May 2024 (EST)
  • Support: Deserves a feature for its detailed historical information provided for each entry. Mindtrait0r (talk) 11:33, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
  • Support: I'm glad to see an easy way to find all the names and pics of statues in one place, especially the random ones with unique models but little exposition, its great that they're getting more exposure. For a while it was very hard to read the Prima Guide and literally the only documentation of Oblivion’s statues was on random Reddit posts so its fantastic to finally have this. The formatting method was always gonna be tough but I’d rather we try than not try it, and it seems to have turned out well now. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 06:15, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
