Depicts the warrior, mage, and thief constellations, pretty important in lore. Plus its a trial image which is annoying to take screenshots in. Take into account the fact that 11 other players could ruin a well timed screenshot, this image is nice to consider with that in mind.

Great colours on this one, plus it captures a rare in-game event. This image depicts the Artifact PvP mechanic in ESO's Cyrodiil. Obviously these highly sought-after items and don't tend to stick around at their initial spawn point for long.

A very neat candid shot, I find it intriguing how it seems like the wispmother is one with the wind in the air. The picture is very old (being uploaded just 7 days after Skyrim was released) so I'm sure this picture could recreated with better graphics in the special edition, but it still holds up very well.

File:ON-npc-Molag Bal 03.jpg[edit]

ON-npc-Molag Bal 03.jpg

A nice picture of one of the most cinematic scenes in the game, with Molag Bal looking very menacing in his colossal initial form.

  • Support: As nominator. --SMcM (talk) 18:08, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
  • Oppose: With half of his head cut off and with blurry textures he's not very menacing. From another angle and in a different pose this character could look lot better, but for now, oppose. Phoenix Neko (talk) 05:40, 6 May 2019 (UTC)
    • Comment: I suppose you are right, I concede that a picture of this same scene with his head fully in view and with the blurry back of his hand less in focus would be better. SMcM (talk) 21:15, 14 May 2019 (UTC)
  • Oppose: It's not bad, but I can't really tell what's going on without looking closely at the picture. Having a player character in the picture is also a minus for me, even if it's necessary in this case. —Dillonn241 (talk) 18:56, 29 June 2019 (UTC)
  • Neutral: It's a very great scene, I don't know if this picture captures it the best way, but maybe retaking it from an alternate angle or different timing would help. —The Rim of the Sky (talk) 19:07, 25 July 2019 (UTC)

  • Support: Blue flame on reddish background looks good and the image is high quality. The main downside I think is that this is the same pose that most humanoid enemies seem to make so the particular action isn't noteworthy. That said, I'll support it. —Dillonn241 (talk) 18:56, 29 June 2019 (UTC)

A high-quality screenshot showing all three netch pets together. The reason this is significant is because this requires purchasing all of these limited-time Crown Store pets for use as furnishings. This image resembles the kind of work done in other gamespaces with the use of console manipulation, except here it was done entirely in-game using the furnishing system and cash transactions. It's great to be able to have ESO images like this, and this one is just particularly picturesque.

File:ON-npc-Kassandra 04.jpg[edit]

ON-npc-Kassandra 04.jpg

This is a very cool image depicting the antagonist of Murkmire ESO DLC and it comes from the last encounter with her. Since this is basically taken during the fight, it is quite an achievement to manage to take this image. Kassandra is normally hidden inside this miregaunt guardian, so it takes some luck (or patience) to capture her in this cool pose. I should know, because I was there and tried! Besides that, the image also has good quality and sharpness. This is definitely one of the more unique ESO images that we have here on UESP.

  • Support: As nominator. --Tib (talk) 14:11, 4 December 2018 (UTC)
  • Support: A nice image, captures the character in a unique pose and position atop the Miregaunt that makes this stand out. I like the glow of the magic effects from her staff contrasting with the darkness in the background also. --SMcM (talk) 11:33, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
  • Support: Great shot. --Jimeee (talk) 12:44, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
  • Support: I'm a little concerned that the color scheme is almost the same as the recently queued Tsofeer Cavern image, but ignoring that this is a well-timed shot and I agree with the other comments. —Dillonn241 (talk) 06:21, 26 January 2019 (UTC)

File:ON-flora-Static Pitcher.jpg[edit]

ON-flora-Static Pitcher.jpg

A fantastic closeup of one of the new types of dangerous flora in Murkmire. It's detailed, rich in colour, and makes for a great thumbnail.

  • Support: As nominator. —Legoless (talk) 13:51, 27 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Support: Great creature/flora image. —Dillonn241 (talk) 13:58, 27 October 2018 (UTC)
    • Weak Oppose: Based on the clipping issue Rim of the Sky brought up, I think this needs to be retaken to be FI-worthy, especially since we have so many at the moment already in line. I don't agree on the lighting aspect, but he also has a point with it blending with the background, which is always something to look out for in these. —Dillonn241 (talk) 05:30, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
  • Oppose: There's a lot wrong with this image being an FI. It's fine as an image of its subject matter, but there is quite evidently clipping between the grass textures on the floor and the plant's model. The saturation and lighting are also a bit off, and the closeup view makes it feel like everything in the image blends in. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 05:23, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
  • Oppose: It's a decent image for wiki purposes, but the clipping and the overal image composition doesn't make it FI-worthy -- SarthesArai Talk 21:37, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
  • Oppose: This is a solid image but it doesn't seem to be quite worthy of an FI as per the above opposition. Forfeit (talk) 03:14, 13 April 2019 (UTC)
Consensus: Oppose. 4:1 —Legoless (talk) 16:04, 20 April 2019 (UTC)

File:ON-place-Tsofeer Cavern 03.jpg[edit]

ON-place-Tsofeer Cavern 03.jpg

I thought this was a loading screen, i.e. something an artist spent hours drawing, but this is actually an in-game screenshot, thanks to Talyyn. With Murkmire just released, I think it's an excellent candidate. I'd go so far as to say we should expedite this one so it's timely, but I'm not sure if there's any precedent for that. If the voters decide that it's appropriate though, we should go ahead and do it.

Just to clarify, by expedite I mean make this the next featured image on 4 November.

  • Support: As nominator. —Dillonn241 (talk) 14:01, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Support: This looks great! There is precedent to hurry this along if enough support is thrown its way. Forfeit (talk) 04:59, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
  • Support: Fantastic image. Limited by the outdated 4:3 aspect ratio rule of course (like every image) but still worthy of a feature. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 05:23, 3 November 2018 (UTC)

File:SR-creature-Arachnia 03.jpg[edit]

SR-creature-Arachnia 03.jpg

A great image from the Creation Club. This one depicts one of unique attacks of Arachnia, a pet from the Pets of Skyrim Creation.

  • Support: As nominator. --Ilaro (talk) 20:20, 14 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Oppose: As much as I'd like to see a Creation Club image featured, I don't think this one works well. The whole image is either white or light gray and it's hard to tell what the subject is. The subject itself isn't particularly interesting either. If it has to be from Pets of Skyrim, I'd definitely prefer File:SR-creature-Arachnia 02.jpg, though I think some of Myrwatch's are the best so far. —Dillonn241 (talk) 09:36, 21 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Oppose: The image could benefit from being taken again in better weather conditions if possible. As is, while it's a well captured image, it's a bit too dull and void of color to put on the front page. Forfeit (talk) 04:59, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
  • Weak Oppose: I really respect the scenario going on in the image and I like the timing of the capture, but overall the image isn't very aesthetic or better looking than a lot of other images on the wiki. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 05:23, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
  • Oppose: As per the above opposes. --Rezalon (talk) 11:29, 1 December 2018 (UTC)

ON-place-Clockwork Basilica.jpg

Really nice image of the Clockwork Basilica showing the gears in the sky during dusk or dawn. We never really had an image of Clockwork City and I think this one would be a great way to showcase its beauty.

  • Support: I like it! This angle does a great job of producing that feeling of looking up at a really tall building. Forfeit (talk) 04:59, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
  • Neutral: The building in the image is great to look at and has a super interesting design, but I feel like it needs a better angle than the one given. I know the Brass Fortress isn't an easy place to take pictures in but I still feel like this image isn't the best it has the potential to be. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 05:23, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
Consensus: Support. Overall support (6 support, 1 neutral). —Dillonn241 (talk) 05:35, 3 November 2018 (UTC)

File:ON-quest-The Dreaming Cave 02.jpg[edit]

ON-quest-The Dreaming Cave 02.jpg

This is an image captured by Vyraesi, our currently most active ESO photographer with lots of beautiful images in her portfolio. Although the story behind this image is also interesting, the reason I'm nominating it is because it has a really unique cinematic effect - just look at Valsirenn's posture and face! There's not a lot of ESO images that have this. Moving on, this image is from Summerset's main story quest line. In this particular quest we venture deep into Spiral Skein with Valsirenn, to find and rescue one very significant character in ESO - needless to say quite an epic adventure. This image deserves to be shown on the main page.

An awesome image showing the transformation from True Cat to dro-m'Athra. It's a great companion image for our new Lore:Dro-m'Athra article, but I feel the quality is so good it ought to be featured. If you compare it to the older version of the file (taken by yours truly), you can tell that this image manages to capture the NPC in an interesting pose, and shows off the transformation very well.

  • Support: As nominator.—Legoless (talk) 11:19, 25 August 2018 (UTC)
  • Support: I had no idea what was going on in this image before reading the article, but even without context it was intriguingly creepy. Echo (talk) 17:32, 25 August 2018 (UTC)
  • Support: This is the first NPC image in a long while (looks like since 2015 and that was a ghost) and it works! I think for an NPC image to stand out among the thousands there are for ESO, something needs to be happening. And what's happening here hasn't been seen in a previous game: sort of like transforming into a werewolf or vampire lord if I understand correctly. —Dillonn241 (talk) 11:19, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
  • Support: I agree with the nominator's words, I remember when I was there exploring the first time and thought that this scene would be a good FI. Also, agree with what Dillonn says (except you're wrong in that we do in fact have a ESO NPC image as current FI :P). Tib (talk) 11:36, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
    • Comment: Oh, I was sure that was a quest image because of the aspect ratio, but you're right that it's categorized under NPC. In that case, we haven't had a 1:1 NPC image in a long time! —Dillonn241 (talk) 12:55, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
