Cheesemancy is an arcane art focused on the manipulation of cheese. Those who practice this art are known as Cheesemancers. While it has a loose connection to the mad inhabitants of the Shivering Isles,[1] its existence is recognized among the common people of Tamriel.[2]:139-140 Among the known practitioners of this art were some Imperials. Cheesemancers had the ability to command cheese blocks to levitate. Some cheesemancers regarded the cheese associated with their craft as delicious, considering some others to have poor taste.[1]
Ja'dasha, author of The Survival Guide to Tamriel regarded Cheesemancy as one of the magical arts that defies the strict classifications of the Schools of Magic, placing it alongside other arcane practices like necromancy, auramancy, and weather magic. However, she expressed uncertainty about the practical applications of this magical art focused on manipulating cheese.[2]:139-140
