"Why wrestle the world when the world will always win? We get everything we need by flowing with the stream. What's the point of struggling against it?
I know ojel don't understand. It's a shame. We would all be so much happier."
—Deed-Tei

The Moss-Skin Tribe is an Argonian tribe found within Murkmire. The tribesmen are mellow and inscrutable; often taking life as it comes and offering no resistance to the river's flow. They nurture the Hist, and the Hist nurtures them. They believe that if something happens, then that is how it's meant to be. When Sithis decides that things have become too ordinary, it disrupts the river's flow, and the Moss-Skins find a new routine until it's time to change again.

The Moss-Skin tribe is malleable to the flow of time, and very willing to enact change. They tend to appreciate impermanence, such as the stilts on reed-houses, which will eventually need to be rebuilt or replaced.

A Life in Carvings[edit]

A Moss-Skin tribesman's grave stake has been stolen, and the tribe's Grave-Singer, the deceased's sister, would like you to plant the stake north of Bright-Throat Village in her place. She sprained her ankle running from a Hackwing while giving chase to the thief that stole the stake.

Unsuitable Suitors[edit]

Deed-Tei, the Moss-Skin suitor for the Bright-Throat bonding ritual, has lost the seed doll his Bright-Throat partner made for him. Though he cherished the seed doll, it was taken from him by a Haj Mota. He figures that the Haj-Mota probably needed it more than he did, and was going to just sit here and accept that reality before you showed up. He wouldn't mind if you found the Haj Mota and retrieved the seed doll for him so he could show his partner he cares enough about her to keep the doll. His tribesmen aren't usually sentimental, so it would mean a lot to his partner if he showed up to the ceremony with the seed doll.
