Volsung

Volsung is a corundum dragon priest mask obtained by killing the eponymous Volsung at the end of the Nordic ruin, Volskygge. The artifact's enchantment allows you to breathe underwater, carry an additional twenty units of weight, and increases your bartering abilities by twenty points. It can be tempered with corundum ingots.

Notes[edit]

  • Placing Volsung on its pedestal at Bromjunaar Sanctuary will remove any bonuses it gained from tempering.
  • Although the mask is made out of corundum, the editor ID for this mask is ArmorDragonPriestMaskCorondrumHelmet.
  • All Dragon Priest Masks are considered to be circlets in terms of equipment slots, meaning they can be worn simultaneously with some bugged items, as detailed under circlets.
  • Vol means "Horror" in the dragon tongue.
  • Volsung is the most valuable of all the dragon priest masks, with a value of 4,611. This is, in part, due to the waterbreathing enchantment having a high base enchantment cost of 100, and it's numerical value being set to 20. Waterbreathing enchantments function the same at any numerical value. Thus, Volsung is valued as if it has 20 individual waterbreathing enchantments placed upon it.
