The Zainab Tribe tribe is one of the four Ashlander tribes of Morrowind. They are the largest, most prosperous, and most settled tribe of Ashlanders—large enough, in fact, that they actually run an ebony mine with which House Hlaalu wish to do business. Master Aryon of Tel Vos, the most forward-thinking of the Telvanni lords, also respects them. Living in the settled plains, the Zainab care little about either the Blight or the Nerevarine Prophecies: after all, they have not yet been affected.

On the surface they are as xenophobic as any other Ashlanders, but they hold far more relations with the settled peoples than any of the other tribes, and welcome the bringing of news and trade from the outside. They also respect feats of arms if done in the tribe's service.

Akami Zainab was the founder of the tribe.

The Zealots of the Shivering Isles are a group of outcast mortals found in Dementia. They follow the Demented teachings of Arden-Sul to a fault, believing him to be a mortal aspect of Sheogorath. They believe Sheogorath himself to be a living god, and go to extreme and painful lengths to prove their devotion to him. The Zealots revel in violence, and attack all outsiders unless they wear their robes. Robes are brought to settlements in Dementia as a way for citizens to join the Zealots, although converts are often killed if they are not true of heart or if they fail the painful initiation rituals. The Zealots are noted for their rituals involving the summoning and binding of Flesh Atronachs. They have a particular vendetta against the Heretics, their Manic counterparts. The highest ranks of the Zealots were said to be "ascended".
