Krosis, the Dragon Priest guarding the Word Wall

Throw Voice is a dragon shout that causes the shout to be heard from the point on a surface the player is targeting. Enemies will often go investigate the sound, allowing it to be used as a distraction. The shout has a limited range, and only fools those who have not spotted you.

All three levels of the shout are identical in effect. Using more words allows a shorter recharge time. Even though all three words are learned together, each word requires its own dragon soul to unlock it.

Notes[edit]

  • Shearpoint is guarded by both a dragon (post-Dragon Rising) and the Dragon Priest Krosis, making it difficult to obtain this shout. The only other shout that has all its word wall locations guarded by a dragon priest is Storm Call.
  • The insult thrown is random each time, but the things you can say include:
  1. "Hey, slug-breath!"
  2. "Hey, melon-nose!"
  3. "Hey, cheese brain!"
  4. "Hey, ugly!"
  5. "Hey, troll bait!"
  6. "Hey, skeever butt!"
  • Using this shout while aiming at a neutral creature (such as a Giant or Mammoth) turns the creature hostile.
  • This shout can be used to drop hung clay firepots (a trap commonly seen in Draugr tombs) from a safe distance by aiming onto the pot itself.
  • This shout is one of two that have a very short cooldown (the other is Dragon Aspect). Without Shout fortifying equipment and blessings, the cooldown period for using all three words is just 5 seconds.
  • Throw Voice is the only shout in the game where using more words means less cooldown; almost all others (aside from Dragon Aspect and Call of Valor) increase the amount of cooldown the more words that are used.
