"The Seeker's Archive"—a curious name for something that appears to be a Yokudan temple. A dry, dusty draft seeps out from beneath the door, bearing the scent of a thousand, thousand libraries ….
The Seeker's Archive at night

The Seeker's Archive is an ancient library in Craglorn.

Originally only consisting of a large library and shrine to Hermaeus Mora, the invading Yokudan, led by Emperor Tarish-Zi, later constructed structures on the surface of the shrine after the emperor discovered the shrine and made a pact with the Daedric Prince which in turn demanded that the Anka-Ra defend it.

Layout[edit]

The exterior of the ruin is swarming with Anka-Ra. The interior, on the other hand, is infested with Daedra.

You will be able to enter the ruin during the quest, after activating the beams at the three seals surrounding the center of the ruin. The entry tunnel is encrusted with glowing blue crystals that jut from the walls. Within, you'll find a linear library with bookshelves lining the walls. Scamps and Dremora guard the library's halls. The Daedra respawn approximately ten minutes after being killed.

There is a pillar in the center of the northern room. The hallway shooting off north of this chamber contains a boss, the Dremora named Rykuna. Before you engage her in combat, you'll see her kneeling before the projection of a red Watcher. This projection disappears once combat begins. Hermaeus Mora's shrine is through the hallway leading west from the pillar room. You'll fall into a flooded pit to reach it.

The shrine lies within a cavernous chamber guarded by a Dremora Caitiff, a Dremora Kyngald, and the Watcher you saw earlier: the Glaring Eye. Ibrula's Journal is located at the top of the stairs leading up to Hermaeus Mora's statue, beside the podium. A scroll titled Secrets Overheard in Apocrypha is on the ground behind the podium.
