Redoran Soldiers are Dark Elves stationed at Tal'Deic Fortress where they patrol the area and keep Camp Retainers in line.

Dialogue

Occasionally you'll hear a Redoran Soldier and retainer conversing:

Redoran Soldier: "Aren't you done fixing that yet?"

Camp Retainer: "I'll have it done right away, sera."

Redoran Soldier: "If I have to fix it myself, you'll end up pulling it!"

A Telvanni Mage engaging in a duel with a Redoran Soldier

Redoran Soldiers are Dark Elf members of House Redoran that appear during random encounters on Vvardenfell. They are friendly towards other Redoran Soldiers, but will turn hostile if they see members of any other House.

Dialogue

They will ask the other person which house they're apart of.

Redoran Soldier: "Redoran, friend?"

Redoran Soldier: "House Redoran?"

If the other person is another Redoran Soldier, they'll respond in kind.

Redoran Soldier: "Redoran! Is there any other?"

Redoran Soldier: "Ah, Redoran, most noble of the Great Houses!"

Redoran Soldier: "Hail, Redoran!"

Redoran Soldier: "House Redoran!"

They will end the conversation amicably.

Redoran Soldier: "Walk in honor, my kin."

Redoran Soldier: "May your sword never lose its edge."

Redoran Soldier: "Honor for the House."

A contingent of Redoran Soldiers accompany Councilor Eris and Captain Brivan as they search for Veya Releth at Mallapi Cave.

Two more are found in cages with Vatola Telem within Hlormaren Stronghold.

Groups of them can later be found in Balmora, where they are combing through the city to find Veya.

Skills and Abilities

Ravager

Quick Strike

A basic melee attack that does minor physical damage.

Uppercut

A melee attack that deals moderate physical damage and knocks you back if it connects. This attack can be blocked to knock the enemy off balance.

Cleave

The Ravager swings their weapon around, dealing minor physical damage to all enemies in front of them. This attack has no red cone indicator.

Foot Soldier

Quick Strike

A basic melee attack that does minor physical damage.

Heavy Attack

A heavy melee attack that does moderate physical damage. It can be blocked to set the enemy off balance.

Throw Dagger

The enemy backs away from the player and throws a dagger at the player. This attack Causes snare and bleed if it connects. This attack can be interrupted to set the enemy off balance. The dagger can be blocked to prevent the snare and bleed and reduce the damage done.

Ignite

A combo move that is only performed if Archers, Fire Mages or other fire using enemies (Flame Atronachs, Scamps etc.) are around. The enemy throws a glob of tar under the player's feet as indicated by a red circle. While this does no damage, standing in it will snare the player. The Soldier will call for the other enemy to light the tar (usually accompanied by a voice clip) and the red circle will burn, doing moderate flame damage over time to enemies within the red circle.
