Malevolent Offering
Malevolent Offering: Pour out your lifesblood and channel the arcane, healing yourself or an ally in front of you for [9223 / 9324 / 9426 / 9527] Health, while draining 1080 Health from yourself over 3 seconds.
Shrewd Offering: Cost: [3240 / 3150 / 3060 / 2970] Magicka.
Pour out your lifesblood and channel the arcane, healing yourself or an ally in front of you for 9529 Health, while draining 810 Health from yourself over 2 seconds.
Healthy Offering: Pour out your lifesblood and channel the arcane, healing yourself or an ally in front of you for [9529 / 9633 / 9737 / 9842] Health, while draining 1080 Health from yourself over 3 seconds. After casting, gain Minor Mending for 10 seconds, increasing your healing done by 8%.

Malevolent Offering allows you to heal an ally by sacrificing your own Health.

The Shrewd Offering morph reduces the cost down by a good percentage, while the Healthy Offering morph grants Minor Mending, increasing the effectiveness of all your healing done (including by this ability) for the duration.


  • This skill was added in Update 16, replacing Agony.
  • While it is not possible to kill yourself by using this spell (you simply will not be able to cast it if your health is too low), it can put you in danger of being easily killed by other things.

Patch Notes[edit]

  • Agony: This ability and its morphs is now an ally-targeted spell that heals them over time and costs Health to cast instead of Magicka. We also renamed this ability to Malevolent Offering.
  • Malefic Wreath (Agony morph): This morph now grants Minor Mending when it deals damage to you, and has been renamed to Healthy Offering.
  • Prolonged Suffering (Agony morph): This morph now decreases the health cost, and has been renamed to Shrewd Offering.
    • Developer Notes:This redesign of Agony and its morphs gave us an opportunity to create a new ability more in-line with the theme of Siphoning. It helps Nightblades fulfill the healing role in a unique way, and synergizes with the other Siphoning abilities that let you steal health like Strife or Siphoning Strikes. You can then transfer that health to your allies.
  • Reduced the health cost of this ability and the Healthy Offering morph to 4925 from 6751.
  • Shrewd Offering: Reduced the health cost of this morph to 4320 from 5940.
  • This ability and its morphs now smart heal an ally in front of you instantly, instead of healing a specific target over time. Each cast of these abilities will place a damage over time effect on you that drains your health over 8 seconds.
  • Fixed an issue where your character could get stuck in the animation of this ability and its morphs.
  • This ability and its morphs now have an upfront Magicka cost of 3510 and a residual Health cost of 1080 over 3 seconds, rather than a Health cost based on a mixture of your Spell Damage and Max Magicka over 8 seconds.
  • These abilities can now target yourself and allies, rather than only allies.
  • Reworded the tooltip for these skills, now with 100% more edge factor, to help you get the blood dripping when using the skill.
    • Shrewd Offering (morph): This ability now ranks up in cost reduction rather than 1.1% healing done, and its base cost has been reduced to 3240. The residual Health cost also lasts 1 second less causing it to drain less Health, to ensure its total cost is reduced to the expected level.
    • Developer Comment: For a long time, these abilities have had relatively low engagement due to the fact that they costed purely Health and hurt the user more the higher their stats were, making it both deadly and un-advantageous to run in situations where you needed to stay alive. In addition, the health cost had low interplay with mechanics - such as cost reduction - and made it difficult to play around, leaving its core concept unsatisfying and untapped.
      We've decided to switch this ability over to a Dual Cost skill with the brunt of its cost being on the Magicka side of things, and the rest of it filled in with Health (it equals the base 4590 burst heal cost that skills such as Rushed Ceremony have when you add them up!). In addition, we've allowed the heal to be self-targetable so the healer can keep themselves up in a situation of need and giving the class a much-needed reactive self-heal. Overall, we hope this helps the skill stand out as something unique and thematic to the class, with less overall restrictions and punishment on the caster.
  • Healthy Offering (morph): Increased the duration of Minor Mending to 10 seconds, up from 8.
