Fort Firemoth is an Imperial Legion fort overrun by the undead.
It stands on the highest point of the Saros Archipelago, overlooking the Imperial Navy fortress of Sulfurwatch Keep to the north. The date of its fall is described as taking place at some point just after the Simulacrum, but the Imperial Legion still have ambitions of reclaiming this strategic location, and will send a strike force to do the job during Siege at Firemoth. As part of this strike force, you must clear the Fort and its surroundings areas of the skeletal soldiers and servants of the lich, Grurn.
With the fort being technically a part of Vvardenfell District, its rebuilding can only proceed on condition that Duke Vedam Dren remains alive. Even then, the fort's position above a lucrative mining complex burrowing into veins of both Glass and Ebony cause some political difficulties as the Great Houses on Vvardenfell seek a slice of the pie.
If, however, you succeed at rebutting both grasping factions, and the Empire's lack of coin to rebuild the fortress, you will ultimately be declared its Commandant at the end of Firemoth Rekindled

- As with Sulfurwatch Keep, Fort Firemoth's ruined and rebuilt variants are built as separate cells in the mod files, meaning that the ruined cells can be accessed via console even after the fort has been rebuilt.
