The Seat of Detritus is a Daedric demiplane belonging to Lord Hollowjack. It is a dismal realm populated by Pumpkin Spectres, and its appearance can be strongly influenced by the fears of the mortal it is preying on.
It can be accessed via portals during the related quest, which can only be picked up when the Witches Festival event is active. After the first play though of the quest, the portal will appear in Olyve's Brewery once the quest is started.

Layout[edit]
The first time you run through the related quest, you'll need to save three of Hollowjack's victims (referred to as the Haunted) from Detritus. You'll visit three sublocations to free them from their torment. Pumpkin Spectres delight in the aura of fear throughout each of location.
Farvyn Rolas[edit]
Accessed by talking to Farvyn Rolas near the Forgotten Crypts in Deshaan, The appearance of this area resembles a Dark Elf crypt, based on Farvyn's fears of disappointing his family and ancestors. You'll find Rolas Ancestors tormenting the elf's spirit near the entrance.
In the far end of the crypt, you will find Letter from Farvyn's Mother.
Thalien[edit]
Accessed by talking to Thalien near Gil-Var-Delle in Grahtwood. The appearance of this area is based on Thalien's fear of fire. It resembles a graht-oak settlement that has been set ablaze, and is filled with smoke and burnt trees. At the end of the path, you will find an unburnt area where the Flamequench Bloom grows.
Gatzug[edit]
Accessed by talking to Gatzug near Wind Keep in Stormhaven, this location resembles a ruined Orc city and is based on Gatzug's fears of his violent and bloody past. Bloodied Revenants appear near the entrance, and their bodies can be found around the area.
Various Pumpkin Spectres can be found gleefully maiming each other, and at least one will try and jumpscare you. At the end of the path, you will find an axe of an altar that must be cleansed.
Arena[edit]
After helping the Haunted, a portal to the Seat of Detritus will be opened in Olyve's Brewery by Lord Hollowjack. Once you enter the portal, you will find yourself in a large circular room filled with fog.
Notes[edit]
- Lord Hollowjack is a group boss, so it is advisable to group with other players before entering the Seat of Detritus if you have difficulty defeating it.
