Opinion[edit]

Just a slight thing i picked up- it says here kajiit look cool, but many people would disagree with this im sure, people should try to keep their opinions out of pages unless refering to the quote as an opinion.--Willyhead 12:56, 12 July 2007 (EDT)

The whole Gameplay section seemed redundant and overly subjective, so I deleted it. Personal opinions don't belong in wiki articles, and that applies not just to saying that Khajiit look cool, but also to claiming that they are "perfect". Thanks for pointing it out, Willyhead. --NepheleTalk 13:15, 12 July 2007 (EDT)

No problem.--Willyhead 13:16, 12 July 2007 (EDT)

Gameplay Section?[edit]

I read the other comment about personal opinions being in the article and agree, but I also notice that the Khajiit are the only ones without any sort of Gameplay suggestions. Maybe we could find some way to put in some neutral suggestions for those people that might want them? Davehoekst 15:39, 25 August 2008 (EDT)

Good idea. Crowbar 15:49, 25 August 2008 (EDT)

"A weakness to sweets"[edit]

What exactly does it mean by Khajiit having a weakness against sweets like skooma?--71.162.31.194 15:14, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

I'm gonna guess it just means they have a weakness for sweet things, including Skooma, which is made from Moon Sugar. This applies to the general personality traits of Khajiit, though, and doesn't affect gameplay for a Kajiit character. –Eshetalk 15:24, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Age?[edit]

Is there any way to determine a Khajiit's age? Any facial features or anything? You can tell an Argonian's age by the colour of their scales. I just love Khajiit's so much (I think they're adorable) that I want to know. --Sencilia 01:44, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

Generally, the older Khajiits look more heavier in the face than younger khajiits- plus they have a lighter skin tone sometimes.--Arch-Mage MattTalk 02:27, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
Just play around in the character creation menu with the age slider and record the changes. --SerCenKing Talk 12:11, 10 April 2010 (UTC)

un-playable khajiit hairs[edit]

There seems to be two khajiits hairstyles on the construction set (Earrings and wisps) that several khajiit NPCs have.(S'Shani haves wisps and J'skar haves earrings)But are never avaiable to the player character. Is that true?Sayonara 16:17, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

I think so, but I've heard there are mods which let you use the hair styles. --Sencilia 03:32, 20 January 2010 (UTC)

hand to hand[edit]

shouldent it be mentioned that they have a +10 to their hand to hand wich makes them perfect for fist based characters as no other race has +10 hand to hand.--(Theblack7 20:01, 26 June 2010 (UTC))

Its mentioned under the Skills part. --Sencilia 03:34, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
It really doesn't need including in the gameplay section. As Sencilia already said, the skill boost is mentioned already and the gameplay section notes that they are good in stealth-oriented skills. Anything more than that is unnecessary. rpeh •TCE 21:56, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

Sand...?[edit]

What's with all the "May you walk on warm sands." And "Sand and Sugar, my friend." And "Speak while the sands are still warm." What does all this mean?

They originate from a desert land - sand would be a major part of their culture, I'd imagine. --Arch-Mage Matt Did I Do That? 00:26, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Ohhh...dur. *smacks head* Stupid me...well thanks for the help! 24.181.62.15 00:37, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Fur Colors?[edit]

Are you able to change your character's fur color without a mod (xbox 360), can i make my character black furred? White? other colors? and if i can how?--Tbone11 02:44, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

No ~ Dwarfmp 02:59, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
EDIT:Oh wait, I thought you meant fur armor. Yeah you can change the fur, although it may be difficult to get the colors right if you go extreme (like black and white) ~ Dwarfmp 03:00, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
I AM SO HAPPY I FOUND SOMEONE WITH THIS EXACT QUESTION! The only thing i can say is to fool around with the sliders of "Blue/Orange", "Yellow/Purple", and "Red/Green", and also "Pale/Flushed" to get it. EVEN though It douesnt really do anything in the way of shading the fur.....i tried it, but to no avail. I just had to go with a white tint around light colored orange fur.... His name is Oryonn Greymayne, i want his fur to be grey, the name gives that off. I've carried on long enough so, bye for now, and until someone can give me an answer better than the above.

Interesting fact...[edit]

Khajiit and Argonians in Arena began as human type characters and not beast folk. If you look at the races in Arena, Khajiit look like Altmer and Argonians look like dunmer. You couldn't play them in battlespire or redguard ((Khajiit)) and it wasn't until Morrowind did they become more catlike while shortly revisiting their human like appearance with the human legs ((Oblivion)) instead of cat bent legs in Morrowind.

See here. It says that the Khajiit are most likely of the Ohmes race, due to their human form and tattooed faces. Not so sure about those Argonians though... They look like Orcs. Kitkat1749 TalkContribE-mail 09:00, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
Either way, it wasn't until Morrowind did their appearance change to cat like. First two games they were human like and you couldn't play them in battlespire or redguard. from the discription, argonians didn't become beast looking till morrowind either, but their description is a little different. Says depending on how much hist they eat as hatchlings determins if they are going to have a more human appearance or lizard appearance. — Unsigned comment by 71.23.17.32 (talk) at 16:20 on August 30, 2011
actually Khajiit appeared catlike first in redguard — Unsigned comment by 83.183.117.217 (talk) at 14:39 on May 21, 2012

Shopkeepers don't trust Khajiits?[edit]

I've played Oblivion through a couple times and I've always played a female Khajiit theif with a good personality and low imfamy. Everytime I walk into a shop the keeper follows me everywhere. Even if I stand in one place she/he will come to me. I heard a friend of mine say something about how Khajiits are such good theives that shopkeepers become super vigilant when one walks in, but can anyone back that up? Do shopkeepers do this to other races?— Unsigned comment by 108.121.207.141 (talk) at 03:22 on 8 August 2012 (UTC)

Yes they follow you, but not because they are such good thieves, it is because a lot of khajiit are know for being thieves.--Br3admax 03:22, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
It should happen with any race. Vely►t►e 03:41, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
