Radiant Options[edit]
Quick Walkthrough[edit]
- Talk to Aela.
- Retrieve the Silver Hand Stratagem.
- Return to Aela.
Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
To proceed in taking revenge for Skjor, Aela suggests that you steal Silver Hand plans to intercept any actions they might take. You will be sent to a radiant location, where a regiment of Silver Hand will be guarding a leader and his plans. Whether you sneak through the camp or kill everyone in your path is completely optional.
Reward[edit]
Levels† | Reward‡ | USLEEP Reward |
---|---|---|
1–9 | 100 | 100 |
10–19 | 150 | 150 |
20–29 | 300 | 200 |
30–39 | 300 | 250 |
40+ | 300 | 300 |
†Level is based on when the player completed the previous quest (or level one for the first quest), not the player's level when receiving the quest or its reward.
‡The reward amounts for radiant Companions quests do not progress as intended.
- The Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch, version 3.0.3, fixes this bug. (details)
Bugs[edit]
- The Silver Hand Stratagem may be placed in an inaccessible location, or in an inaccessible chest instead of the proper boss container at the assigned radiant dungeon.
- The Unofficial Skyrim Patch, version 1.2.4, fixes this bug.
- It has been reported that the console command
movetoqt CR10
can resolve this issue, specifically if the target location is Treva's Watch (see talk page). The use of console commands may have unintended effects.
- The Stratagem may appear in a random dungeon, even if you've never been given the quest.
- The Stratagem may appear on the floor in Jorrvaskr at the location you initially gave it to Aela. Picking The Stratagem up will result in it being bound to your inventory (as it is a quest item).
- After returning and reporting to Aela, your quest will be acknowledged as complete in the journal, but it may remain in your active quest list. If this happens, Aela will not give you any further Silver Hand radiant quest to do (but will still give Skyrim:Animal Extermination quests). This bug can occurr with any Silver Hand radiant quest. ?

Notes
- Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g.,
<Alias=LocationHold>
) is dynamically set by the Radiant Quest system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game. - Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
- If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
- On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering
setstage CR10 stage
, wherestage
is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the quest usingresetquest CR10
.
