Retaking the Pass[edit]

As Indaenir closes the first rift, you'll hear:

Shade of Naemon: "Leave the shadow rifts alone, or you will suffer for it."

At rift two:

Shade of Naemon: "Desist, living one! You meddle with forces you cannot understand."

At the final rift:

Shade of Naemon: "You go too far. Now you will experience the Shadow Wood for yourself!"

Striking at the Heart[edit]

While collecting Welkynd stones to open the Valenheart, Naemon's disembodied voice will taunt you:

Shade of Naemon: "I warn you—the Naemon you faced before was fettered by fear … and mortality. I have no such limitations."
Shade of Naemon: "You are throwing your life for naught. The Heart is already corrupted. There's nothing you can do about that now."

Take the last stone and he'll warn:

Shade of Naemon: "Very well. Come and witness my wrath achieved. Then you will die."

Engage him in battle, and he'll continue to taunt:

Shade of Naemon: "My sister's pawn, come once more to do her bidding."
Shade of Naemon: "Ayrenn will get what's coming to her soon enough."

He will summon a pair of Corrupted Guardians:

Shade of Naemon: "Your cause is hopeless, and you are outmatched."

Growing frustrated, he will summon waves of skeletons:

Shade of Naemon: "Why won't you just die?"

Notes[edit]

  • The Shade of Naemon wields a standard lich staff instead of the Staff of Magnus it is stated to wield.
