--ShakenMike 14:33, 21 February 2007 (EST)What magical supplies Eilonwy sells?--ShakenMike 02:10, 21 February 2007 (EST)

As with most Merchants in the game, what she sells is randomly determined based upon your character's level. Typically she has an assortment of alchemy Ingredients and Potions. --Nephele 11:10, 21 February 2007 (EST)

I'm currently level 7 now.Is it true there's not a spell called Open average lock/door?--ShakenMike 13:09, 21 February 2007 (EST)

Yes, there is such a spell, but it's not sold by merchants who stock magical supplies. The list of spell merchants who sell that particular spell are listed at Oblivion:Spells#Open_Average_Lock. --Nephele 13:18, 21 February 2007 (EST)

Cool thanks. How much gold should I need to buy the spell?--ShakenMike 13:27, 21 February 2007 (EST)

It all depends upon your skill level and your bartering ability. Read Oblivion:Spells#Spell Notes to find out how the magicka cost of a skill is determined, and then from that how the cost in gold is determined. Read Oblivion:Commerce#Base Price to learn about base prices and bartering. --Nephele 13:43, 21 February 2007 (EST)

How do I determine my Skill level?

My bartening skill is level 24(I'm not sure this should be a major skill or not.--ShakenMike 14:33, 21 February 2007 (EST)

Hidden Merchant Chests[edit]

Just so we get this clear for next time. I added the chest info for consistency with all other pages for Guild alchemists which have that information on their pages: see Ardaline or Selena Orania. I admit that it might not be useful for the average player but I just want to get this sorted for the next vendor I do. --SerCenKing Talk 13:58, 4 April 2009 (EDT)

This just happens to be the first time that I'm one who patrolled the edit. In terms of consistency, there are hundreds of non-Mages Guild merchants, all of whom have merchant chests that they own hidden under the floorboards with unopenable locks -- none of whom have notes on their pages about the merchant chests. Why should the Mages Guild merchants be treated any differently than the other merchants? The contents of the chests are already documented in the list of items that she sells. Therefore I fail to see how mentioning the existence of inaccessible chests helps anyone who is reading the page. --NepheleTalk 14:23, 4 April 2009 (EDT)

Vidkun Dialogue[edit]

I just took removed the Vidkun dialogue from her page. As far as I can tell, it doesn't belong - it is both quest-related, a bit un-interesting and not really relevant to Eilonwy. It might fit in on Vidkun's own page, though. Krusty 20:01, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

A bit too fast there - it's already on Vidkun's page where it should be. - Krusty 20:10, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Bug Report[edit]

The bug reported for Eilonwy's AI pack was invalid, and I have removed it. Find packages must use a referenced NPC, and Orintur's reference is located in Willowbank. The CS has no other way to do this. The reason she stays put is because the time window for that package also has Orintur in the guild hall, so she doesn't need to go anywhere. Arthmoor 01:35, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

You're right. Thanks for pointing that out. --S'drassa T2M 02:36, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
Was asked to elaborate further. CheydinhalMGElamonweExploreOrintur is the package in question. This package directs Eilonwy to "find" Orintur between the hours of 5pm and 8pm. In order to set something like this up, it is necessary to select the reference in the CS that the package wants to target. In this case, Orintur. His editor location is in Willow Bank, so you have to select him there. Orintur is in the Mages Guild up until the time the package is evaluated. Since he has not actually left yet, the "find" package believes it has already done what it needs to do and she goes nowhere. Looking a bit closer, it's possible this was intended to make her follow him out to Peachtree Island on the south side of the city. If that's actually the case, then it could technically be a bug that could be fixed by turning it into an "accompany" package instead. Establishing the intent would be key. It could just as easily be that she was only intended to speak with him before he left, which would work perfectly fine the way things are. Arthmoor 09:05, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the extra details. I'm absolutely convinced it's a bug because there are other, easier ways of having her stay exactly where she is! To be fair, the bug is really with Orintur's schedule. He clearly states "I divide my time between the Cheydinhal Guild and my own private studies at Willow Bank." but doesn't ever go back to Willow Bank once he leaves. It would makes sense that Orintur and Eilonwy spend time together in their house since they're husband and wife! rpeh •TCE 09:10, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
Regardless of if its a bug or not, the wording 'Her AI package for 5pm (CheydinhalMGElamonweExploreOrintur) has a reference to "Orintur" in "Willow Bank". However, he is never actually there and she therefore remains put until her next package.' is misleading. The reference to Orintur being in Willow Bank is simply how packages targets are assigned. Therefore, it makes no difference to her where he is when the Find package activates, she will move to within 100 of him regardless. Jadrax 12:10, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
No, that's the point. She doesn't. And Krusty has checked that in-game. rpeh •TCE 13:33, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
Actually, she does. I've seen her a couple of times on 'Peachtree Island' together with her husband at 5 till 8pm. That was about a year ago though, and since I don't have Oblivion anymore, I've no way of verifying it. Don't know if it happened every day, but at least it did happen. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 13:46, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
I'm impressed you can remember details like that after a year! You should ask Krusty about it, since he's the one who verified that it never happens just four months ago. rpeh •TCE 14:14, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
Just checked repeatedly in game, and the package is firing as expected. She travels to within 100 of Orintur and then offers services. The thing causing confusion seems to be that often Orintur is at the Mages Guild at the start of her package, just starting to head out to 'Peachtree Island'. It may well be that the package should be an 'Accompany' package rather than a 'Find' package, but there is nothing wrong with how its target is set. Jadrax 14:50, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
Okay, let’s settle this. We all know that Orintur never sets foot in Willow Bank (except for the first few minutes of the game). So far so good. He will, however, visit the island between 5pm and 8pm, which is fine as well. But where is Eilonwy? She stays behind in the guild hall because she ALREADY met him there – I don’t know what her package is, but it is not a “follow” package, because once she have met him, she just freezes up while Orintur enjoys the sun set from the island. This is what happens if you follow them from inside the guildhall. I too have seen them together on the island, so something fishy is going on. The fishy thing is called “wait-feature” and “fast-traveling”. If the player uses any of these features in a given time, Eilonwy and Orintur will be found on the island together. Try, for fun, to arrive in Cheydinhal at around 5pm, avoid the guildhall, go to the island and wait for Orintur to show up. He will be alone. Use the wait feature for an hour and voila, Eilonwy will be there with him. Obviously they are supposed to meet ONCE and after that, she will not follow him any more. Try the same inside the guildhall. They will meet up and talk, but then Orintur will take off on his own and Eilonwy will freeze up. Since it is way too complicated to explain the oddities of “wait” and “fast-travel” in the bugs sections, the pages turned out the way they are. We could discuss the wording on Eilonwy’s page, but they are only seen together on the island if certain conditions are met. --Krusty 14:38, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

Peachtree Island[edit]

Huh? --Rigas Papadopoulos • TalkDeeds 18:20, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

If by that you mean "Would anybody be good enough to tell me where the name 'Peachtree Island' comes from, because it's not obvious. Thank you in advance", then please say so. Monosyllabic grunts are not a polite way to ask for information.
Assuming that is what you meant, the answer is that the name comes from a marker on the island called CheydinhalPeachTreeIslandMarker that is used by several NPC's AI packages to indicate where they should walk: Hil the Tall, Eilonwy, Orintur and so on. rpeh •TCE 18:31, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
I meant that. So the marker tells the NPC where they should walk? --Rigas Papadopoulos • TalkDeeds 18:33, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
Yes. NPCs will walk in an area surrounding a marker such as that one. rpeh •TCE 18:35, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. --Rigas Papadopoulos • TalkDeeds 18:42, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
