Guild quests?[edit]

Should the guild quests be linked from here (and other city pages) as well as from the actual guild page? Endareth 21:42, 29 March 2006 (EST)

I feel that it would be very helpful if the numbers on the map were given a key, or if the text referred to them. I don't know how to do this! Chris

Sorry, this was a work in progress that was never completed due to technical issues regarding the image displaying properly. The issue was resolved, but nobody ever went back and added the key. For now, the older map is still available at Oblivion:Anvil Map. I plan to complete this at some point in the future. --TheRealLurlock Talk 14:07, 15 November 2006 (EST)

Specializations[edit]

I'm not sure how to do it with the way this page is set up, but I'd like to add that the Anvil's Chapel of Dibella specializes in Luck and Personality, and that the Anvil Mages Guild specializes in Restoration. --GuildKnight 11:01, 7 March 2007 (EST)

Hmm. How about:
Anvil
Shield of Anvil
Guilds/Temples
-- JustTheBast 11:12, 7 March 2007 (EST)

Perfect! --GuildKnight 11:15, 7 March 2007 (EST)

how about maybe neatening up the image, making the white transparent? -77.97.96.53 11:51, 7 March 2007 (EST)

Map[edit]

Would it be alright to add the map and key from Anvil Map to the bottom of the page? --GuildKnight 11:07, 7 March 2007 (EST)

Well, maybe I should have read the above conversation! :) I'll just go ahead and add it. --GuildKnight 11:18, 7 March 2007 (EST)

The map looks better here then the official guide I think.[edit]

I just comparing both maps thats all and I liked the maps here in this site.ShakenMike 11:20, 21 March 2007 (EDT)

Added Pilgrimage to the Quest starting in Anvil.[edit]

Technically it does start in Anvil with the Prophet preaching in front of the Chapel in Anvil.

Monsters in Anvil?[edit]

I came into Anivil and the WHOLE of the town had there weapons ready and running towards the Pool and the mages guild, i was just wondering are there creatures that spawn around that area?--Marleysexton 10:31, 24 February 2008 (EST)

A Hidden Throne?[edit]

I just realized in castle Anvil that in the dining room, if you go up both sets of stairs to you left, at the end of the hallway there is a room that has a throne in it???...maybe there WAS a count at a time...--LeonTheWizard 3:26, 15 March 2009 (EST)

Yes. the Count of Anvil, Corvus Umbranox, disappeared ten years prior to events in the game. No one was certain as to his fate, and there's always the chance that he will return (you can help that happen, in fact). —Dark Spark 14:00, 16 March 2009 (EDT)

Non respawning chest?[edit]

I have noticed that just off the coast of anvil near the serpents wake partialy below ground underwater, can someone tell me if this chest respawns because it would be useful to know. — Unsigned comment by Dadrak (talkcontribs) on 16 May 2009

No it doesn't respawn. –RpehTCE 10:08, 16 May 2009 (EDT)
Is it worth mentioning on the main page, there is some loot in it and if it doesn't respawn it could be use for safe storage of items, much like the rooftop chests of bravil. I'd call it lost cargo or sunken treasure or something to that effect. SneakyPenguin77 (also my Gamertag) 22:09, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
Not really, there are various safe containers throughout Cyrodiil. Whether its location makes it useful is too often dependent on personal opinion. --Timenn-<talk> 13:29, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
I meant mentioning the fact that there's loot in it on the main page, the fact that it doesnt respawn would be treated as a side note.--SneakyPenguin77 (also my Gamertag) 20:35, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
I don't think it deserves a mention on the main page. It's just too minor. Given it's location relatively close to the Serpent's Wake, it might be mentioned on that page though. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 07:15, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

Glitch?[edit]

Can fire astroth follow you out of and oblivion gate becse i took the signal stone and close the gate but on of those flame chiks was out there evne thow i cleared the area before i wint in there— Unsigned comment by Allgreto (talkcontribs) on 22 August 2009

They were most likely on the exterior of the gate to begin with. –Elliot talk 07:33, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

Secret Npc[edit]

i was in anvil and there was a person there that i have never seen before her name was ella dark hart~— Unsigned comment by Allgreto (talkcontribs) at 03:45 on 30 August 2009

That sounds like you met Edla Dark-Heart, who normally resides in Bruma. What she's doing in Anvil I have no idea. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 09:27, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
thanks— Unsigned comment by Allgreto (talkcontribs) at 19:02 on 30 August 2009

A big Mistake[edit]

I dont know if anyone has ever noticed this but when you leave anvil you cannot see the cathedrall from the otside even though it is higher than the walls of the town. — Unsigned comment by 217.28.15.246 (talk)

Hmm, that is odd. Added to notes. Vesna 00:06, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
This is a known bug. It is fixed, along with about a million other things like it, in the Unofficial Oblivion Patch. 110.174.91.113 11:28, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

Tsarrina mistake[edit]

Tsarrina, a Khajiit member of the female gang in the quest "The Siren's Deception", makes absolutely no appearance in The Flowing Bowl, despite what the article says on both this page, and this one. I removed her name from the list, but someone restored it. Why? --The Hero of Kvatch (talk) 02:38, 16 June 2013 (GMT)

I've removed her name again. —Legoless (talk) 13:53, 16 June 2013 (GMT)
Also, as a note for the future, it's best if you leave an edit summary when you remove information from a page, as other editors can be suspicious of removed content without explanation. A simple "doesn't appear here" or something would have worked. Just something to keep in mind for the future. And thanks for catching this and bringing it up here so it could be addressed. :) — ABCface 14:45, 16 June 2013 (GMT)
