Volrina Quarra is the matriarch of the Quarra vampire clan and can be found on the lower level of their lair in Druscashti, along the Foyada Bani-Dad in the Ashlands. She is very hostile, even if you are of her own blood, but she will send you on a few quests, mainly in the hopes of getting you killed in the process. Her blood is of interest to both the House Telvanni and to their rivals in the Berne Clan.
Volrina wears a glass cuirass with matching greaves, pauldrons, and boots along with a leveled and possibly enchanted ring. She carries her key, a glass poisonsword, and some random potions. Aside from her natural charm and ability to absorb fatigue from others, she knows no spells other than her vampiric ability to absorb one's life-force from a distance.

Unique Dialogue[edit]
Volrinna Quarra shares dialogue with those of her clan on specific topics, but she has her own unique dialogue as well:
- "What is it, Fresh Blood? You have no place here in the house of Quarra. You are of very little use to me."
- use to me
- "You are a mistake in our world. Were you not of my blood, I would kill you where you stand. But, I am in need of an errand runner. You will do. There is a vampire near Gnisis who has taken the name Irarak. He finds himself worshipped as a god by some of the local mortals. This mockery must not be allowed to continue. Kill him for me, and I will allow you use of the Quarra Clan services. Or, you may go from here forever."
Option | Dialogue |
---|---|
I will kill him. | "Hmmmm...we shall see. He may not be a powerful vampire, but he has many followers. I do not expect I will see you again, yearling." |
I have no interest in this. | "I am not surprised, accidental vampire. Leave my house." |
Speaking with her after refusing her:
- "You try my patience, monster."
- use to me
- "I grow weary of speaking with you, little calf. Do not test my will."
Returning to her after sparing Irarak:
- Lord Irarak
- "You let the "Lord" live? You are no longer welcome here, foul creature. Leave, or you will die where you stand."
- Brood of Lord Irarak
- "You let the "Lord" live? You are no longer welcome here, foul creature. Leave, or you will die where you stand."
You will lose all dialogue options except for Quarra (and Solstheim if you have Bloodmoon installed) for picking either of these dialogue topics.
Returning to her after having killed Irarak:
- Brood of Lord Irarak
- "Lord Irarak? Hah! Well, you have done well in destroying that fool. As I promised, you will be allowed access to the services here in Druscashti. Do not overstay your welcome."
- Lord Irarak
- "Lord Irarak? Hah! Well, you have done well in destroying that fool. As I promised, you will be allowed access to the services here in Druscashti. Do not overstay your welcome."
- use to me
- "You wish to be of further use? I will allow it, pathetic child. I am attempting to create some powerful magicks for members of my clan. Thus far, I have been unsuccessful. I will need some more raw materials with which to work."
If the quest is bugged:
- raw materials
- "I don't trust you enough to talk about that."
If your disposition with her is 75 or higher:
- raw materials
- "That's privileged information. I'm sorry."
After fixing the quest with console commands:
- raw materials
- "return to me when you have all of the ingredients I need, waste of my blood."
Returning with her ingredients:
- raw materials
- "You have found them all? You surprise me, New Meat. I expected much less of you. You shall be rewarded, though. Take this amulet; it is one of my unsuccessful attempts. However, it will allow you to return to Druscashti at will. And, since you have been less incompetent than I imagine, I will have future rewards for you, if you are able to rid this world of enough of the other vampire clans that stain it."
- raw materials
- "There is no need to speak further about this."
- future rewards
- "Not enough are dead yet, fool! Kill more, and perhaps I will reward you."
Returning after killing enough vampires from the opposing clans:
- future rewards
- "Many of the Berne and Aundae are dead by your hand. This is a good thing. I will allow you to feed here in Druscashti. Do not kill the cattle, though, or you will no longer be welcome here."
- future rewards
- "Our business is complete. There are no other ways for you to help me, New Blood."
Notes[edit]
- Volrina also appears in ESO, expressing great disdain for the Vampires of Berne Clan.
