South Seas[edit]

Is there a name for the Southern Seas in Tamriel, the body of water from the Summerset Isles to Black Marsh. Like how the northern sea is the Sea of Ghosts and the western sea is the Abecean Sea. I know in the Infernal City, they call it the Southern Waters but that's like calling the Sea of Ghosts, the Northern Waters. Is there any source giving it a name? --Vincentius1 (talk) 15:08, 10 October 2017 (UTC)

The Padomaic Ocean is described as encompasses all of mainland Tamriel. Unless a body of water surrounding Tamriel has a specific given name (Eltheric Ocean, Sea of Ghosts), the waters seems to default to the Padomaic Ocean. --Jimeee (talk) 15:43, 10 October 2017 (UTC)

Size[edit]

The Morrowind section of the first Pocket Guide to the Empire gives the distance between the peak of Dagoth Ur and Mournhold/Almalexia as 250 miles. Applying this scale to the map included with The Elder Scrolls Anthology puts the distance between Daggerfall to Necrorom (and the approximate width of Tamriel itself) at (by my measure) roughly 1125 miles (roughly the western edge of France to the eastern edge of Slovakia, or half the continental US). 1: Can anyone confirm I did the math right? 2: Is this sufficient to mention on the page proper? --Agiletek (talk) 17:25, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
