Weatherleah is a historical settlement on the northern reaches of the Imperial Reserve, in the province of Cyrodiil. Throughout the eras, it has been the site of a private family estate; a fine example of a Colovian-style manor. It shares its name with the eponymous family of Colovian nobles, the Weatherleahs. In its prime, some would call it the jewel of the West Weald. In the late Third Era, it was the property of the Jemane family of Bretons who built its most modern iteration.

History

By the late Third Era, Weatherleah was abandoned and no property sat in its space until the Breton rogue, Albert Jemane built the farm. He settled in with his wife and identical twin sons, Guilbert and Reynald Jemane. He was previously in Chorrol to steal the Honorblade of Chorrol for his organization, the Thieves Guild, but instead took it for himself and built Weatherleah to avoid the law in town. For a time, the sword was kept hidden in Weatherleah until one day, an ogre tribe from Redguard Valley Cave attacked the farm and took everything in it, including the Honorblade of Chorrol.

Albert and his wife fled with each son at their side. Albert escaped with Guilbert while his wife left with Reynald. She died somewhere in the wilderness and left Reynald to wander alone. He was later discovered by traveling merchants and subsequently raised in Weynon Priory. Albert and Guilbert were able to escape. The father returned to Weatherleah to find the rest of his family, but with the rumor that ogres were cannibals, he assumed the worst and left for good.

By 3E 433, Weatherleah had been long abandoned and both Jemane brothers were now grown adults. Rumors circulated in Chorrol of a man who looked like Reynald in Cheydinhal and a drunken Reynald asked an adventurer to find out more. Guilbert, ecstatic that his brother was alive, traveled to Chorrol and reunited with his long-lost twin. They asked the adventurer once more if they could defeat the ogres and free the farm. After the battle, the Jemanes returned home and restored Weatherleah.
