Mod[edit]

Hi Damon

I'm not spamming, only trying to find a way to describe what My Major Project of My Best Years has meant to me and may may mean to others. But it's very late in NL and i'm off to bed, so i hope you don't think i'm spamming or commiting whatever other crime.

Only thing i really want is some way to share those 1000s of hours of fun with people who love MW. — Unsigned comment by Azurolf (talkcontribs) at 02:52 on 12 January 2014‎

There is a marvellous site called Nexus Mods, where you can host and describe your mod. Any additional posting of that mod on the sandbox will be considered spamming and will be treated as such. It's really not the place for advertising your own projects. -damon  xoxo 02:55, 12 January 2014 (GMT)
I strongly recommend you read the first sentence of LINKSPAM on Wikipedia before you try to insist that you're not spamming. What you added to the Morrowind Sandbox was the very definition of spam. If you want to advertise your mod on you own user page, that's fine, provided it's limited to a short description and a link; I have a couple of my own on my page, as do other users. Adding links in Morrowind space itself, however, will almost never be allowed. Exceptions are made, but only in very rare and notable cases like the unofficial patches. Baldur's Gate[edit]

Ooooh, a first-timer! Baldur's Gate II was the better of the two, if you ask me, though the differences are a bit less if you're using one of the total conversion mods, like BGT or Tutu. The second one has much more involved storylines. In any event, enjoy! Robin Hood  (talk) 07:45, 28 January 2014 (GMT)

Yeah, a first timer. I had an iTunes card floating around, and since I was on my MacBook, I got the Enhanced Edition off of the Mac App Store. And, I didn't know if the stories between games were unrelated like on TES, or if they were direct sequels, so I decided to play safe and get the first one, even though everyone kept saying Baldur's Gate II was the better of the games, just in case I missed out on some plot details.
I still haven't actually gotten around to playing the game yet; I blame NocteCanticum, because we were discussing D&D alignment and what that stuff meant. And, I may have gotten very sidetracked catching up on SorcererDave's epic Skyrim roleplay Let's Play. And eating chips. And, chatting with forum peeps from their IRC. And other things. Basically, I am so absent minded and my attention span is so short that I've yet to play the game or even launch it, for that matter. :p -damon  xoxo 08:11, 28 January 2014 (GMT)
Sure you have time to get an iTunes card but not the Steam card you owe me >:( Anyway, you're gonna love it. Unlike that RH fellow, I enjoyed one more... --Nocte|Chat|Look 08:45, 28 January 2014 (GMT)
Oh, look... Nocte's here. How nice of you to show up and talk to me for once. :p Anyway, we can talk Baldur's Gate on Facebook or IRC or something in the morning. I"m crashing. Night, wiki :) -damon  xoxo 08:51, 28 January 2014 (GMT)

Nothing of importance[edit]

Hai Damon! I have nothing extremely important to say here, other than that I think you're a swell gent and your talk page looked a little lonely without me. I also hoped to delay my own execution, even though you would be hard pressed to find a way to kill me. Do let me know if I can say anything pertinent in the future, however. =D Or maybe just bring you a sandwich? --ADK (talk) 00:36, 29 March 2014 (GMT)

Black tea. Hot. A small squeeze of fresh lemon juice (I can taste the difference), and perhaps you can find my long lost pet Kitkat. Maybe then I won't execute you. We'll see. -damon  talkcontribs 00:39, 29 March 2014 (GMT)

Naming conventions[edit]

Sorry, I overlooked your concern in the discussion. I was trying to avoid a further edit conflict, and I'm answering you here to avoid lengthening that topic. One point I'd like to offer may clarify: I believe that using the name "Online" to refer to ESO in common text confuses correlation with causation. In all of our past experiences with forming a shorthand to each game, there have been two patterns. First, the shorthand has been the unique part of the proper name. Arena, Daggerfall, Oblivion, etc. Second, the shorthand we chose matched the shorthand used by our readers. I believe the second pattern is by far the more important, and that, implicitly, it always has been the guiding principle when choosing how to refer to a game. It should continue to be so. There are also aesthetic arguments on both sides, but I believe those are a wash, and supplemental regardless. Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 02:16, 4 April 2014 (GMT)

Show/hide Question[edit]

Sorry, I missed your question last night because I was still logged into the laptop at the time, but never actually used the laptop again until today.

The primary option for having show/hide outside of the table is to just use the {{Showhide}} template, which looks a little different. The other option, which isn't exactly what you asked for but may do something closer to what you want, is to use the newer collapse classes which put the show/hide on the right instead of in the first column:

Location Region Slaves Key Found
Abebaal Egg Mine Azura's Coast
Ahnarra
Dan-Ru
Dro'Zah
Eleedal-Lei
J'Dato
Seen-Rei
'Abebaal Slave Key'
Mistress Therana
Tel Branora, Lower Tower (on table)
In a crate in the mine
