Volenfaryon

Volenfaryon is a Dunmer stronghold in the Armun Ashlands, ruled by three mabrigashes.

"Halt, outlander! Before I let you enter Volenfaryon, a little advice: you can go anywhere in the camp except for the Propylon Chamber. The Elder Sister resides there -- and if she sees you, you will surely end up as one of her slaves." - Ubarassour-Dan

Volenfaryon lies on the northern border of the Armun Ashlands, far from other settlements, but as the crow flies is directly south of the Monastery of St. Felms, near Bodrum. Of late, the occupants of this stronghold have come under assault from the undead, directed by the wizard of nearby Sehutu, and entering the Propylon Chamber will see the eldest mabrigash, Agarinnu, demand your assistance in ending these attacks. Thus begin the events of A Man in the Crystal.

The three ruling mabrigashes do not rule by inspiring loyalty, and several Outlander males within the area appear to be under (or falling under) a form of hypnotic control. The occupants of the Prisoners' Hut can attest to this, and include a former member of the Imperial Legion who explains that he is slowly losing his mind after successive "rituals". However, free-willed individuals do still reside in Volenfaryon, including a number who followed the Little Sister, Mar-Utu, away from Ishanuran Camp after growing dissatisfied with that tribe's leadership.

This does not mean that the sisters themselves are averse to using their power on Dunmer however, as attested to in the events of Ishanuran Nerevarine, where it becomes apparent that the scout Senipal has fallen under their control.
