Saber Cat Attack[edit]
When I first came upon this camp, I was attacked by two saber cats. Meanwhile the four bandits were scattered around, dead. It was pretty obvious what killed them, at least. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm wondering if part of the radiant AI system is setting up unexpected encounters like this at random locations. EmmBee 06:12, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
- Well, I've had two warlocks runnung around, eventually getting into a fight with said bandits. It might be a location for a random event, or just mere coincidence. Wolok gro-Barok 16:46, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

- Dragons are random encounters, therefore this does not make this dungeon special.Though I have to admit that some dungeons always have a dragon.--Skyrimplayer 20:49, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

(←) There is a Random Encounters spawn point nearby. The first time I visited here, Thalmor vs Stormcloaks happened, and then the surviving Thalmor ran down and engaged the bandits. I waited until they died, and then finished off the bandits. But other times I've fast traveled near here, I've seen some of the other usual encounters. The encounter zone is rather big, it's also triggered near Silent Moons Camp.

- Thank you for this note. I was wondering about the following random encounter: I was on my way (as a new Companion whelp) to Silent Moons Camp when I stopped to let a mudcrab attack my shield for a level or two. Then I passed by here and noticed a dead elk, three dead wolves, a pair of dead mages and some dead bandits, and was accosted by a woman standing over the carnage. She claimed to have escaped from Mistwatch, which is apparently halfway across the map somewhere between Windhelm and Riften. I wished her well and pointed her towards Rorikstead. Discerning the Transmundane[edit]
Alright so I've visited this camp on a number of occasions to complete this quest, at various levels. 73, 59, 23 and without fail on the inside there is always 2 orc fighters and 1 dunmer mage, combined with the altmer in the mammoth pit trap in just a few short moments you'll have over half of the blood needed. (Or the remaining 1-2 samples if you visit alftand with the permanent dead bodies) What I'm asking for is if a PC player could take a look at these particular bandits and see if they are always fixed like this because I have noticed that the bandits outside and the first bandit inside are random. Much appreciated.Chronic (talk) 23:31, 17 December 2012 (GMT)
Fast Travel Bug[edit]
I can confirm this bug. Game crashed repeatedly when trying to fast travel from pit. 88.134.91.61 13:20, 14 April 2013 (GMT)
Coin Purse[edit]
I found a coin purse at the entrance to the hidden hallway that is next to the forge.66.87.112.79 19:17, 6 December 2013 (GMT)

Dead Mammoth[edit]
I'm pretty sure the mammoth next to the grindstone as shown here[1] is deliberately placed so that players will miss it until they're actually leaving, considering combat as well. It seems to me like a reference to the "elephant in the room" and I've added this as a note. I just came here to post the video as support for that since it doesn't make sense as a reference or citation. 2.85.11.0 23:38, 9 July 2014 (GMT)
- I don't see how anyone paying attention can miss a mammoth lying in the middle of the room, being discussed by the bandits who are standing around it. The fact the bandits are discussing the mammoth blows a hole right through the notion of your reference. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 23:46, 9 July 2014 (GMT)
Hidden Coin Purse[edit]
In the corner behind the forge and the ramp, there is a small coin purse. You have to jump on to the edge of the forge to get at it. 73.41.109.23 12:39, 28 January 2015 (GMT)
