Welcome![edit]

Hello! Welcome to UESPWiki. It's always good to have new members. If you would like to help improve any of our pages, you may want to take a look at the following links:

If you, on the other hand, would like to spice up your userpage, take a look at this link:

  • Userboxes: near complete list of userboxes, including a guide to make your own

When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our patrollers really appreciate it!).

Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox or discuss the games in the forums. If you need any help, don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors. Have fun! ~ Dwarfmp 21:26, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

Thank you[edit]

Thanks for fixing the parameter name in the bug template. You know you're tired when you don't even get the name right on a parameter you yourself added to the template. :-/ Robin Hoodtalk 19:26, 24 April 2012 (UTC)

Edit Warring[edit]

Your continuous reverts to Skyrim:Faendal are becoming disruptive. (e.g. [1] [2] [3]) Please consider the fact that many users have stated their opposition to your version, so that is essentially a form of consensus. I would advise to restore the consensus version of the page; otherwise, such behavior could get you blocked (consider this an unofficial warning). Thanks. elliot (talk) 03:47, 30 April 2012 (UTC)

Bug Template[edit]

Just a quick note that you don't need to add bullets before the {{Bug}} template. The template itself will put them in. Robin Hoodtalk 04:57, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

Thanks. Seems odd in places where there are 2 bullets, but the bug bullet is missing. And not used consistently. But I'll refrain from adding them to lists that don't already need them.

Broken ingredient lines[edit]

I guess your revert and edit has fixed the issue, but it is not really linked to that, but to a prior edit of an individual ingredient page. You can read a bit more about it at UESPWiki:Administrator_Noticeboard#Outstanding_Upgrade_Issues_3 - usually just purging the page not displaying properly fixes it too. --Alfwyn (talk) 16:44, 14 October 2012 (GMT)

Aha. Good idea. Tried refreshing, but not &action=purge. Walked back through the history, and it was there in the history change page, too. There some odd caching behavior happening, but that was also a problem before the upgrade. Didn't see anything about this on the wikimedia wiki-tech list (of which I've been a subscriber for many years).

Well, that's because the whole #load and #save mechanism is a site specific extension - see UESPWiki:MetaTemplate for more. --Alfwyn (talk) 17:14, 14 October 2012 (GMT)

Unbound[edit]

Hi. Instead of simply repeating an edit that was undone, could you please discuss it? That would prevent any sort of edit warring from happening. So I'd like to discuss the edit.

We both agree that following Hadvar has the benefit of being friends with Alvor, yes? No conflict there?

As for the other stuff you add, you say that it is possible to become Hod's friend no matter what. So I do not see how it is a question of benefit, when both paths lead to the same spot with him and thus one path is not more beneficial than the other on this matter. That's why I removed it the first time. Why do you think it is necessary to have it on the page? Vely►t►e 20:02, 10 February 2013 (GMT)

You seem confused. One path, you get Alvor + Hod. The other path, you get Hod-only. It's clearly written. Yet you say "not more beneficial"?
--DayDreamer (talk) 21:01, 13 February 2013 (GMT)
Since you obviously disagree with JR's change to the article, please add to the discussion for Unbound rather than continuing the edit war on the article. Repeatedly undoing the edit is not productive, no matter how strongly you disagree. Thanks! eshetalk 20:56, 13 February 2013 (GMT)
Hey, Could you please bring it up on the talk page and reach a consensus before adding it back to the page? Thanks! :) Jeancey (talk) 20:58, 13 February 2013 (GMT)
Hey, could you read the Talk page there before posting here?
--DayDreamer (talk) 21:01, 13 February 2013 (GMT)
My revert has nothing to do with the actual content of the edit. That information (or something similar) has been removed 3 times (not including my revert), so clearly there is some contention over the edit. In a disagreement over an edit, the edit in question is removed from the article until a discussion on the talk page happens, and a consensus is reached that all parties can agree on (or the majority of people, if one specific person is being stubborn). Since that consensus hasn't happened yet, I removed the content. That make sense? I'm not taking sides in the is discussion, I'm just following procedure. Quest timing[edit]

Hi DayDreamer. I know it's been awhile , but could you please take a look at this discussion? You added a note to the article about an interaction between The Forsworn Conspiracy/No One Escapes Cidhna Mine and Thane of the Reach that needs more detail. Thanks! --Xyzzy Talk 16:29, 1 June 2013 (GMT)

Goodness gracious, I haven't logged on here in a long time. I'll take a look, but the page has been re-organized so many times since I contributed there, it's hard to remember.
