Captain Tobias, speaking of a prior encounter Cyrus had with Duadeen[1]

Duadeen is a Half-Akaviri[1][UOL 1][UOL 2] mercenary lord who worked with the Khajiit crime boss S'rathra.[2] In 2E 864, Cyrus the Redguard was tasked with joining Duadeen on a mercenary mission, but received a letter from his old captain Tobias about his sister Iszara who had gone missing. As a result, Cyrus instead chose to depart High Rock and return to Hammerfell to find his sister.[3][2] When he attempted to depart from the province, Cyrus was confronted by Duadeen and his mercenary crew who didn't wish him to leave. After a bloody confrontation that saw Cyrus kill one of his rank, Duadeen allowed Cyrus to leave, but demanded that he never return to High Rock.[2]

A dubious tale of Cyrus' later exploits claims Duadeen went on to work under Emperor Tiber Septim himself.[UOL 3]

Notes[edit]

  • One legend claims Duadeen to have been one of the legendary Five Hundred Companions.[UOL 2] If true, this would make Duadeen several millennia old at the time of his confrontation with Cyrus which is nearly unheard of in humans, however some Akaviri, specifically Tsaesci, have been attributed immortality in literature.[4][5] However, the text dubiously mentions many other anachronistic figures.[UOL 2]
