Release date[edit]

BL-prerelease-Release Date IOS.png

Here is the source for September 1 being the release date. You can debate the likelihood of that being the actual release date all you want, but there is a actual source for it.--FioFioFio (talk) 13:00, 24 August 2018 (UTC)

Revised date: This was changed to September 7, 2018, and then now currently says December 1, 2018. I believe that would still fall in the "Fall 2018" category. Just checked, and the Apple store has December 2018. Elder Scrolls Blades on Apple Store Timeoin (talk) 03:27, 11 September 2018 (UTC)
Apparently the App Store only allows a release date to be set a maximum of 90 days in advance. This would explain the original date after its announcement in June, and why the date has now been changed to December. I'm therefore removing info on the expected iOS/Android release date since the App Store is not a reliable source. —Legoless (talk) 22:36, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
"This fall" is actually from an official Bethesda tweet, not from the apple store (that one said September 1 and now December 1). --Ilaro (talk) 23:34, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

The Beta started on the 5th of March, 2019[edit]

Location of Blades[edit]

I know this is already discussed to death, but do we actually have any quote, source, or other substance that its quests and location is clearly for the main part within Cyrodiil? Especially as it's so prominently displayed on this page (second sentence), we should have a very strong substantiation for it. Otherwise, it borders on speculation and we should not have that in the lead. --Ilaro (talk) 09:13, 27 February 2021 (UTC)

I'm not sure, I tried to look back at discussions from the time period that it was added, but could not find any justification. It might have been by process of elimination. Since the game takes place in the Empire, you can write off Black Marsh, Summerset Isles, Elsweyr, Hammerfell, Morrowind, and Valenwood as the location of the game immediately. After a lot of reading, I saw this post that claims to have solved it as Cyrodiil. Of particular note (but I can't find on the wiki at the moment) to me is that there is supposedly dialogue that mentions Rivercrest is on the way to Skyrim and High Rock, which would eliminate every option but Cyrodiil. I personally wouldn't call it a strong substantiation, but if that dialogue is found, I think there is a logical argument to state it is Cyrodiil, but we should definitely find that dialogue if we are going to keep it that way. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 09:50, 27 February 2021 (UTC) - "I would like your help. My research suggests this area is rich with Ayleid ruins. I've even found mention of Dwemer ruins in the area! They would be the first ones discovered in all of Cyrodiil. I'll feel much safer with you along. I don't know what we'll find, but there must be something! What say you?" Imperialbattlespire (talk) 13:58, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
That quote is perfect and seems to settle this question, especially as Destane is talking while in Rivercrest. I guess we can leave it like this. This talkpage discussion is easy enough to track down if any future editors are looking for the same question. --Ilaro (talk) 14:29, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
