Wait...[edit]

So I was quickly reading through the Autoconfirmed Users section, and it says that one is only autoconfirmed when one's account is four days old and has at least 10 edits to its name. Yet at the top of the page, "User accounts are automatically promoted into the autoconfirmed group when the account is one day old." Am I missing something here, or should that be changed? --Vulpa 03:39, 29 December 2012 (GMT)

Good catch. It's fixed now; the Autoconfirmed Users section is correct. Robin Hood  (talk) 10:33, 29 December 2012 (GMT)

Becoming a cartographer?[edit]

Out of curiosity, what must be done to become a cartographer? The article's section explains what a cartographer does, but doesn't explain how to become one. Since there is no other page for cartographers, I can't find an explanation anywhere else. Is this an oversight, or have I stumbled across an "invite-only brotherhood" and now need to be silenced? gelza1Talk Cont 07:07, 31 May 2017 (UTC)

Ah, my kind of job, silencing. If you look at the list of official cartographers the only non-admins are three patrollers. The ESO map is the only one that has a public "recent changes" list to show what has been done (so it can be reversed if needed), meaning the other maps need to be very carefully handled to avoid breaking things. That is why the right is restricted by choice to those we already feel can be trusted in other areas. While admins get right if they want it, patrollers need to ask and be approved by an admin.
