Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

To begin this quest, speak to an innkeeper for work and receive the Bounty for Crowstooth. This bounty states that Forsworn raiding parties have been pushing further and further east, along the Jerall Mountains. The bounty states that Crowstooth has been separated from her forces, and that she is believed to have fled with considerable spoils. In an effort to put an end to this threat, anyone killing Crowstooth may claim her stolen loot.

Head to Crowstooth's Camp, which is located south of Largashbur. Here you will have to fight two Forsworn, a witch and Linelle, a hagraven. Search Linelle's body to find her note, this note reveals that Crowstooth has headed to Arcwind Point.

Travel to Arcwind Point, and head up to the tower, where you will have to fight Forsworn. Inside the tower on the ground floor is Alvasorr the Rat, a Namira worshipping Khajiit. Loot Alvasorr after defeating him for the Dismal Visage and Namira's Itch. At the upper part of the tower is Crowstooth who wields Tyrant's Bane. After killing her, go to the very top of the tower to find the body of Bjormund Wind-Strider who wears the Dragonbone Mail, Dragonplate Insulated Boots, Dragonplate Insulated Gauntlets and a Dragonplate Insulated Helmet, and carries Nord Mead, an Amulet of Akatosh, and a random selection of loot.

An additional item can be found within Castle Dour in Solitude. In a side room off of the War Room and upon a tabletop find the Guard's Dossier: Bjormund Wind-Strider.

Notes[edit]

  • An easy way to reach Crowstooth's Camp is to travel through Darklight Tower. After making it to the tower apex, pull the lever and head right over to the camp.
  • The Dragonbone Mail found in this quest has 100% fire resistance. It is impossible to induce this perk onto a torso piece via enchanting. This is no accident, though. According to Nordic legends, the original Bjormund, who wore a dragonbone cuirass, strode through fire as if it was wind.
  • Crowstooth may detect you before you reach the tower and descend to attack you. She can join forces with the high-level draugr at the top of the stairs, making for a difficult fight.

Bugs[edit]

  • Bjormund Wind-Strider's body might not be found atop the tower. This could be caused by killing Crowstooth before entering the tower via ranged attacks. Bug occurred despite non detection, before and after killing Crowstooth via sneak attack and open attack melee.
  • Once started, you can shortcut the quest by simply going straight to Arcwind point and climbing up the tower to find Bjormund's body and the armor.
  • In case the body is not found on top of the tower, it can be spawned with the following command: player.placeatme FE02681C 1
