Dialogue[edit]

You can speak with him inside the garrison, where he is sharpening a sword.

"What?"
Can you tell me anything about how Imperial City fell?
"Traitors."
Could you be more specific?
"Our false comrades swore loyalty to that beast, Molag Bal for promises of riches and favor. All lies.
Now I hunt these traitors and cleave in twain any who dare face my blade. Justice for our city and its people."
How have you and Captain Caudex held this barracks?
"We are very proficient warriors. We slaughter any soldier or beast who dares approach. I am stronger than most. If we see any of my former comrades today, I will demonstrate.
And if you ever betray us, you'll learn firsthand."

He'll join you while you're defending the western door after the first wave of Legion Zero traitors goes down.

Statius Vettiena: "Those who sided with Bal are traitors. Now they face judgment."
Captain Caudex: "Another wave incoming! Keep Fighting [sic]!"

After the second wave falls, he says:

Statius Vettiena: "Stendarr! Lend me your power so I may deliver justice to these traitors!"
Captain Caudex: "We've reinforced the door! Keep it up!"

The third wave at the western door consists primarily of Daedra. Once they're defeated:

Statius Vettiena: "The masters have joined the dogs. They, too, will be judged."
Captain Caudex: "Another group inbound!"

After you learn that he's immortal, you can ask him further questions.

"What?"
How do you feel about being immortal?
"Fine."
Just 'fine'?
"I live to bring Stendarr's justice to those who betrayed us. The longer I live, the more I kill. Given enough time, all traitors will die by my blade.
Stendarr has granted me great favor. I will use it as he intended."
