The Banished Cells

Maj al-Ragath of the Undaunted has challenged me to delve the Banished Cells beneath Auridon.

Quick Walkthrough

1. Enter Banished Cells I.
   • Optional: Enter Dungeon in Veteran Mode.
2. Kill Shadowrend.
3. Kill High Kinlord Rilis XII.

   You can only complete the Death Challenge in Veteran Mode.

   • Read the Scroll of Glorious Battle before killing High Kinlord Rilis XII.
4. Return to Maj al-Ragath at any Undaunted Enclave.

Detailed Walkthrough

Speak to Maj al-Ragath to get the details of this quest.

"The Banished Cells! Beneath Auridon lies a boil of dark magic and family hate. Destroy the Kinlord and his dark fiend, the clannfear Shadowrend."

Is that all?

"Not enough, eh? Alright, invoke the Scroll of Glorious Battle before you face the Kinlord. He might just stand a chance then!"

I pledge to explore the Banished Cells, and return Undaunted.

Once you have accepted the quest, you can enter the Banished Cells I dungeon either by accessing the dungeon through the Dungeon Finder, or heading to Auridon and entering the dungeon there with a group. You have the choice of entering the normal dungeon or the veteran version, this choice will affect if you can achieve the optional step and your rewards.

When inside the dungeon, you will need to progress through the dungeon, slaying the following bosses, Shadowrend, and High Kinlord Rilis. With the last boss, if you are in the veteran dungeon, you have the option of completing the optional task of defeating Rilis with the Scroll of Glorious Battle active.

Once you have completed the task, you can return to Maj al-Ragath at any of the Undaunted Enclaves, and speak with her to complete the quest:

"Hah, I knew you'd come back alive. No poncy Elven High Kinlord fancydress mageling was going to stop the likes of you."

High Kinlord Rilis is dead.

"My mother would say something about how unimpressive you are, but damned if I'm not her. You've done us proud! You've returned Undaunted!"

Proud enough to reward me? / What has foiling the Kinlord's escape earned me?
