- Defeat Xal-Nur the Slaver in Veteran Ruins of Mazzatun without unleashing any Wamasu to assist you.
Obedience Training is achieved simply by not freeing any of the wamasu on Veteran difficulty in Ruins of Mazzatun. Xal-Nur will have archers jumping down from the city's walls to assist him. When he spits Swamp Spice, the amount of adds that pour into the arena is heightened, as the spice's scent attracts adds. This achievement can be tricky, because it is easy to become overwhelmed by adds, especially if it takes your group too long to cleanse the swamp spice at a geyser. It is all too easy to become swamped (pun not intended) without the assistance of one of the four brown wamasu being restrained by Argonian Wranglers in each corner of the arena. You will fail this achievement if one of your group members kills an Argonian Wrangler and unleashes a wamasu upon the adds. The Xit-Xaht mistreat their wamasu, so they're happy to spill their captors' blood for you. Unfortunately, a released wamasu will be killed by Xal-Nur after a period of time. Any wamasu still on their chains at the end of the fight will wander free after Xal-Nur is defeated, their wranglers either automatically dying or fleeing in terror from your display of might. If you succeed in this achievement, all four wamasu will be happily plodding around the arena. Hooray!
In order to get this achievement, you need to focus on the adds. Cleanse the Swamp Spice as soon as possible. This achievement pairs well with the Clean Freak achievement, wherein a designated spice carrier cleanses the swamp spice, and is made even easier if the spice runner has Rapid Maneuver, Accelerate or Refreshing Path (abilities that boost one's speed). Cleansing the spice quickly will ensure that the least amount of adds enter the arena, making the cleanup after spice phase easier. This achievement is even easier to get now that Xal-Nur's Swamp Spice no longer attracts trolls into the arena following one of the updates released in the past year. Now, you're beset upon by archers, but they still pack quite the punch if left to gather in large groups.
