Dialogue[edit]

As you approach the tree to gather some wood from the tree, she will tell you to stop.

Hul-Wan: "Halt, ojel! Why do you approach the Tree that Crumbles Stone?"

You have the choice of explaining yourself by speaking with her.

"I do hope you're not here to harm this tree, ojel. Because then we would have … issues."
I just need some branches for a ritual.
"Hmm. Well, as long as it's just the fallen branches, you may go ahead."
Why are you so worried about this particular tree?
"This is the Tree that Crumbles Stones; the change which breaks down stagnation.
Once, our ancestors made walls of stone with the foolish notion that we could stop that which changes. This tree represents the futility of such thoughts."
And why is that important?
"Because it teaches us that which we cannot forget.
Stone crumbles. Walls break. We must bend against the force of change, least we snap against its strength."

After speaking her, she will let you go ahead with no more hassle. If you speak with her again she will say. "I wish you luck in your ritual, ojel."

However, if you continue to gather wood without speaking with her, she will simply say, "Swift travels, ojel" and run off without another word.

Notes[edit]

  • Hul-Wan does not exist in the game before the Ritual of Change is started.
  • Speaking with her is an optional part of the quest.
