Bullets in Notes[edit]

Does anybody know why the bullets in the Notes section don't show up? I've seen this on other pages as well. Is it a Wiki bug? --Robin Hood 15:52, 18 February 2008 (EST)

I'm not seeing a problem. Maybe it has something to do with your internet browser? --Eshetalk18:12, 18 February 2008 (EST)
Looks like it's an IE thing, as Firefox shows the bullets properly, but both IE6 and IE7 don't. --Robin Hood 18:31, 18 February 2008 (EST)
Yes, it's a known incompatbility problem. IE and Firefox make different assumptions about how to handle bulleted lists; the CSS standard doesn't say what to do, so IE assumes that bulleted lists have a margin by default and Firefox assumes that they have padding. The upshot of which is inconsistencies like this. I just tried to change our CSS to make padding be used in all cases, but it didn't seem to do anything ;) It's very possible that with our new fancy caching, updates to the CSS don't propagate out to the universe for a while. Or else, it's also possible that my tweak wasn't the right one. I'll try to remember to check on this later (and perhaps even see if I can force the squid cache to update this page).... --NepheleTalk 22:44, 18 February 2008 (EST)

Daedric cults[edit]

In terms of the Notes, if "Daedric cults" appears automatically when he introduces himself, does it matter if Ulene and/or Modern Heretics have added it? Is there some way of having him not introduce himself? It makes sense to leave it as-stated in the Unique Dialogue, but I'm not sure about the Notes. --Robin Hood 14:34, 19 February 2008 (EST)

In one of my test cases yesterday, I went straight to Trayvond's dialogue options without any greeting, and the Daedra cults option was already there because I'd just talked to Ulene. Perhaps because I woke him when he was sleeping? At the time I was worried that it might also be because I'd already met him, but when I reloaded from the same initial save for further testing I got the greeting (this time talking to him during the day), and the greeting triggered the "new topic added" message. In other words, yes, it does seem to be possible to talk to him without the introduction, but I'm not completely sure what conditions are necessary. --NepheleTalk 17:24, 19 February 2008 (EST)
I just exited the sewers with my Level 1 character and went to see Trayvond as the first thing. He gladly added the map marker for me. I don't think it's nessecary to talk to Ulene or read the book - The Daedra topic is there from the beginning of the game. Can anybody confirm this in the CS and make the nessecary changes to his dialogue? Krusty 09:13, 2 May 2009 (EDT)
I don't know why it happens but I get the same result as you - he has the topic right from the start of the game. –RpehTCE 08:37, 3 May 2009 (EDT)

Spells[edit]

After I got in to the arcane univerity I couldn't buy any spells from him, or get any training. How do I fix this? I really need that water walking spell. — Unsigned comment by 217.27.168.77 (talk) on 9 January 2009

He only offers his services from 8am-8pm and 10pm-12am. If you talk to him outside those times he won't sell you anything. –RpehTCE 03:38, 10 January 2009 (EST)

Missing "though"?[edit]

On the subject of your task with Falcar, Trayvond does not pronounce the word though, despite it being on the subtitles.

The only two lines has has matching this are:

MG02Alter_Recommendation_000175B6_1: "Falcar always has been pretty harsh, even when it comes to basic lessons. He seems to have gotten worse lately, though."

MG02Alter_Recommendation_000175B6_3: "Hmm, I can't remember. Deetsan would know, though."

The "though" at the end is clearly audible when the line is played by itself. It may not be as obvious in-game with music and other other sounds playing at the same time, but it's definitely there. Kivan 04:31, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Confirmed. I've removed that line from the page. rpeh •TCE 06:06, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
