Skills above 100[edit]
- (moved from the article)
If the Oghma Infinium increases any skills above 100 it is possible to lose some or all of the increases permanently by being imprisoned for one misdeed or another, so it may actually be wise to use it to bring your more pesky or hard to train skills to 100 rather than easier major skills above.
- I don't think this is worth mentioning. It's true, but then it's also true for other things that raise skills over 100 (such as Origin of the Gray Prince). It's also largely personal opinion. As always, if people disagree it can go back on, but I'd argue against it. rpeh •T•C•E• 09:43, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
I have a problem, after reading the Oghama Infinium book, my Conjuration, Destruction and Restoration skills levelled up, but are now stuck and won't level up anymore. They are all stuck in their 70s and I've tried loads of different types of spells but they're not moving up at all. Has anyone else had this problem? — Unsigned comment by 31.205.57.233 (talk) at 23:50 on 11 March 2012
- That sounds like an old problem where skill increases didn't update your progression. It's fixed by one of the official patches, so make sure you are fully patched. Other than that, you'll just have to keep using your skills until the progression catches up with the new skill level, at which point they should start increasing normally again. --Gaebrial 15:02, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
PS3 crash at file sizes above 6000K[edit]
Okay, replaying on the PS3, finished the quest, and have had the book in inventory for a while. Tried to use it and the game crashes. My save file is 6253K and e game crashes after I select a path. Music and the sound effects play, but the book doesn't go away and the game locks, even if I try the book from a fresh start of the game. Sounds like the bug may be related to file size, as my previous playthrough the file was just under 6000K and the book worked fine. Anyone find a fix for this other than giving up? - This seems suspicious; are you sure it's because of the filesize? Remember, correlation does not imply causation! Xolroc (talk) 01:51, 25 October 2013 (GMT)

- Pretty sure. I have turned off autosave, and will attempt again once I get out of this Oblivion world. If that fails, I will reduce file size by trying to sell stuff and spend money on bribes and the like. Will report back once this is done. FMPhoenixHawk (talk) 02:04, 25 October 2013 (GMT)
