Arming Maglir[edit]
ive been using maglir as a follower for awhile now and every once in awhile his weapons break, but he usually picks up a new one, but this time he got a bow and broke it and wont seem to drop it, and i cant pickpocket it from him and when i put a weapon infront of him and sock him in the face he wont pick it up, he'll just use his fists. anything i can do or should i give him up now? — Unsigned comment by 76.73.189.89 (talk) at 23:33 on 20 November 2008
- You could reverse pick poket a permanent bound weapon on him, itll be stronger than most weapons and hell equit it right away, if you dont know how to make them see the Glitches page.--LuciusZelgius 20:59, 20 November 2008 (EST)

- My guess is it has to do with arrows - either he didn't pick any up or he did and quickly used them all up. (Most NPCs who are set up to be archers have an unlimited supply of ammo, but for NPCs who were designed for melee, this isn't the case.) Now, he should equip another weapon if given one that's better, but A.) it's possible (and I'd have to look this up) that his Marksman skill is higher than his other combat skills, and thus he actually prefers the bow to blades or blunts, and B.) it's also possible that he somehow found a really good bow that's better than anything else he can find in melee. (E.g. a Black Bow when the best normally available are Iron or something.) Another suggestion would be to try using the disarming attacks if you have enough skill in your primary weapon class. (Be ready to grab the bow as soon as he drops it, and leave another weapon nearby to convince him to pick that up instead.) At any rate, I'm sure it's not a glitch specific to Maglir. It's likely this could happen with anyone if the right conditions occur. --TheRealLurlock Talk 00:43, 21 November 2008 (EST)
Chorrol[edit]
While Maglir is in the Skingrad inn, I was able to talk to him about Skingrad, and Chorrol, along with rumors...Any reason for him talking about Chorrol when he's in Skingrad? --74.5.177.164 10:12, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- It's because of his factions. He's still in the Chorrol Faction when you talk to him so he still has the rumors. I think. Having said that, he ought to have Bravil and Leyawiin too. –rpeh•T•C•E• 10:38, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- Hm, problebly because he's in the Skingrad and Chorrol CITIZEN Factions...He's in the normal Leyawiin and Bravil factions, but not a citizen..Guess that's why. --74.5.177.164 13:12, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
Maglir a father?[edit]
Article says that Maglir "claims to be a father." This is inaccurate; he just says he has a family (twice), which is not necessarily the same as having children -- he could live with his aunt and her three daughters or some such. Wordmama 22:01, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- Do you have the exact quote? It could allow us to better decide what we should put on the article instead (and it will give us some much needed dialogue for his page) :) -- Jplatinum16 22:06, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- Although he doesn't exactly says that he is father, I remember that the reason he joins the Blackwood Company is because he is constantly complaining that the Fighters Guild doesn't pay enough to mantain his family, so I think that this could be interpretated that he is indeed a father. But no, he never explicity claims to be a father. --S'drassa •T2M 22:10, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- The quotes are, "If you care that much, you go find it. The contract's yours. It's not worth it for what the Guild is paying. I've got a family to think about.", "Thanks. I'm not trying to shirk my duty, but it used to be two or three men would be on this. I like the Guild, but I've got a family to consider.", "I understand about duty. Don't get me wrong. Should've been more than one guy on this job, and I've got my family to think about. They come first.", and "Honor, huh? I prefer feeding my family. I figure I owe you one for covering for me, so I'll let you leave. Get moving, before I forget myself." I've edited the article accordingly. --GKtalk2me 06:02, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

Permanent Follwer?[edit]
I'm trying to get as many followers as possible and was wondering about the glitch that occurs when you get expelled from the fighters guild whilst maglir is following you for the den of thieves quest. If this glitch occurs does it glitch the actual game in anyway or is it a bad idea possible for the other fighters guild quests or any other quest in general (i.e. hist sap, where maglir joins the blackwood company? — Unsigned comment by 216.115.146.98 (talk) at 19:46 on 24 August 2011

- I'm not aware of this glitch. Where is it documented? I want to test. Herp 21:30, 27 August 2011 (UTC)

Maglir alive?[edit]
Hey, I went to the Blackwood Company base just to remember the old times when I met Maglir at the door with 0 disposition. He kept telling me that he hates me and I couldn't change the disposition. To be honest, I don't really remember killing him in the quest, is it somehow possible for him to survive? -MrNut — Unsigned comment by 92.62.224.12 (talk) on 31 March 2012
- It's very difficult to avoid killing him as he attacks you on sight, and he'll often chase you into the street and be attacked by guards. One way to avoid him is to use an invisibility or chameleon spell and sneak past. Kitkat •Talk•Contrib•E-mail 11:56, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
