Oblivion talk:Fighters Guild Porter
Split Page?[edit]
Should we split this up into individual pages for the various porters? I don't know if they have different stats (and I'm not savvy enough to find out) but they look different, which is my current concern given that I'm uploading images at the moment. Rpeh 08:35, 31 May 2007 (EDT)
- It's hard to imagine there ever being enough information on these guys to fill seven different pages. And from a quick comparison of the porters' stats, there isn't that much that's different between them. Each one is a different NPC in the construction set with a different FormID. Each one belongs to the faction of his respective city. The one in Chorrol is an Imperial, but all the others are Bretons. If needed, those differences could easily be summarized in a small table. But other than that I can't see anything in the numbers to distinguish them. The level, equipment, spell package, health, fighter guild rank, aggression, responsibility, and AI packages are all identical. Among the Bretons, the fatigue, magicka, and attributes are all identical (and the differences for the Imperial look like it's just the racial differences that you'd expect). I can't compare their appearances at the moment, but if that's really the main difference between them, I'd suggest just doing a gallery on this one page showing them all instead of trying to split up the page. IMO. --NepheleTalk 12:32, 31 May 2007 (EDT)
- Ooookay... I'm fairly new to this, so I'm not sure what the criteria should be for separate pages. In this case, they have different factions and IDs (obviously) and I'm fairly sure they look different (screenshots coming). I can understand why they're currently on one page, but I could equally understand why they should have their own. Is there somewhere I should look for guidance on this matter?
- Questions like this tend to just be settled by community discussion/consensus. I can't think offhand of any past discussions that seem relevant and could be used as an example. Perhaps over the weekend some other editors will have a chance to chime in and provide their opinion... --NepheleTalk 23:47, 31 May 2007 (EDT)
- Well having now grabbed all seven images, I think I'll agree with you. With the exception of the Anvil porter they all look basically the same except for the hair colour. I thought they looked a bit more different than that. Not that I'm stereotyping Bretons or anything!

Not so righteous[edit]
After I finish the quest line, I try to kill one of the guildmate in the chorrol and I think the porter will attack me. But he help me to kill the guildmate . And a guard come in and I and the porter have fight with and that guildmate and the guard. That guard was kill by the porter and the guildmate flee. After that no one have came in and attack the guard. — Unsigned comment by Vvardfell (talk • contribs) at 10:09 on 15 October 2010
- Faction membership and rank has a lot of different effects. It's quite likely that because of your high rank in the Fighters Guild, everybody in the guild came to your defense against anybody who's hostile towards you. – Robin Hood↝talk 05:17, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
