Stats wrong?[edit]

This page says that at levels 1-9 the mace does 14 damage, but I got it at level 8 and the damage says 6. Can anyone confirm? Kronos o 08:13, 10 February 2009 (EST)

The page lists the base stats, unmodified by any skill. If your mace skill was 100 you'd see that it does 14 damage. –RpehTCE 08:13, 10 February 2009 (EST)

criteria[edit]

whats the criteria for the levelling of the mace? does it level up as you level while burz has it? or what? (Eddie The Head 11:35, 27 September 2011 (UTC))

It's when you level up. Burz himself does not level up. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 12:48, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
yes but i mean while burz has it or does it level while its in your possession too?(Eddie The Head 13:05, 27 September 2011 (UTC))
I guess it acts just like any other leveled weapon. Its level stays fixed when it gets in your possession, but I'm not too sure. A good question, actually! Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 13:25, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
Wouldnt it make sense for the mace to be fixed at your level the first time you encounter Burz? Kitkat xxx TalkContribE-mail 13:29, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
thats most likely but then the devs most likely did the leveling so that he could keep up with you in his related quests and thats not very usefull if your level 30 and he has the level 1 version because you met him in cheydnihal at level 1 (Eddie The Head 13:39, 27 September 2011 (UTC))
Burz isn't involved in any fighting. Not by default anyway, as the player could cause many situations to make him do so. Normally, leveled lists are updated when the object in question is reloaded, after leveling up and re-entering the cell. But Burz himself doesn't level and is no ordinary generic NPC...Looks like the leveled by PC level is not checked so it would level based on the container's level. This would make the 15+ version the only one to ever appear...I will do some in-game testing though to see what happens. --DKong27 Tk Ctr Em 15:27, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
Hmm...I first just went to Burz to see what he had and it was the earliest version. I set my level to 50 and checked again and it was still the earliest. I then set my level, waited over three days, and checked. Still earliest. Last I set my level to 49, then leveled up once manually. When I checked this time it was the appropriate leveled version. So if anyone could compare this... --DKong27 Tk Ctr Em 16:26, 27 September 2011 (UTC)

() I believe it uses the same process as other leveled items. That is, it takes the lower of the player's level and the container's level, and picks the appropriate leveled version. Therefore, if the player is lower level that Burz, he will have the version of the mace that corresponds to the player's level. Once the player's level exceeds that of Burz, he will have the version of the mace that corresponds to his level. So as long as the player is level 15 or higher, Burz will have the best version of the mace. When the player levels up 'properly' (that is, not using the console and setlevel) leveled NPCs and NPCs with leveled equipment are recalculated, which is probably why DKong27 didn't see any change in the mace until leveling up 'properly'. --Gaebrial 10:12, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
