List[edit]

Wouldn't it be a good idea to list where you can buy soul gems here? Restocking or otherwise. Finding them randomly isn't such a good bet IMO. The Pastmaster 08:59, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

Actually, finding them randomly works perfectly well. I usually end up with more soul gems than I want or need, but I've marked the article as incomplete for now. There don't appear to be too many such locations so maybe it'll be worth it. rpeh •TCE 17:05, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
I agree with the above, but would it be worth mentioning that you can increase the stock of Elbert Nermarc in TR for (essentially) unlimited Common/Greater/Grand Soul Gems? — Unsigned comment by 82.34.89.211 (talk) on 22 August 2010
He already has unlimited Common/Greater/Grand Soul Gems so I dunno what you mean. rpeh •TCE 10:43, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
Well yes, I meant expanding his stock to an unlimited number. Which would undoubtedly be useful for anyone collecting Soul Gems. — Unsigned comment by 82.34.89.211 (talk) on 23 August 2010
I still don't understand. His stock is already unlimited! All you have to do is close the barter screen, re-open it, and he'll have the same number of soul gems again. rpeh •TCE 17:01, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
Buy his stock of 5, close, sell it back, close, he now has 10. That. Repeat as many times for a larger stock. — Unsigned comment by 82.34.89.211 (talk) on 23 August 2010
Right. Why bother? Why not just buy his stock, close, buy his stock, etc. Just how many gems are you trying to buy here? And please sign your posts using ~~~~. rpeh •TCE 09:02, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Why bother? Buying in bulk is always better. And quicker. Also I was only asking if it should be mentioned, a simple yes or no would have sufficed. 82.34.89.211 19:50, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Because I didn't understand what you meant until my last post! rpeh •TCE 20:02, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Presuming you understand now, and since this is dragging on a bit, worth noting it or not? Personally I thought it useful to buy huge quantities, hence my asking. — Unsigned comment by 82.34.89.211 (talk) on 24 August 2010
I don't think so, to be honest. It works with any restocking vendor. rpeh •TCE 21:03, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

() Seconded. A list of merchants that restock soul gems would be a great idea. - Tlist 17:03, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

Okay, checked the conset and Fadase Selvayn is the only major reference for soul gems. Looked at her page here and she is, indeed, the only restocking vendor of soul gems outside of Tribunal. So that's that for that. I guess. - Tlist 17:14, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

?[edit]

Isn't the Grand gem in Ald Sotha filled (with an an Ogrim I believe)? 75.62.199.143 20:42, 18 August 2011 (UTC)

No. rpeh •TCE 20:56, 18 August 2011 (UTC)
In the Xbox GOTY version, the grand soul gem on Ald Sotha's altar (right behind Llandrale Varam) is already filled with an Ogrim. 75.47.111.177 21:43, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
No just on Xbox, it's filled even on PC. I'm looking it up in CS, right under Extra Data, it says Soul: ogrim. -- kertaw48 08:43, 21 August 2011 (UTC)
My bad, you're quite right. I've removed it. rpeh •TCE 10:38, 21 August 2011 (UTC)
No sweat - only reason I noticed is 'cuz I play without gold, and there are only a handful of filled soul gems you can obtain without stealing :) 75.47.111.177 01:46, 22 August 2011 (UTC)

Marvani Ancestral tomb Grand Soul Gems missing?[edit]

I just noticed while getting the Face of God mask that there's two Grand Soul Gems there? I found one in a small chest behind a level 20 locked door and another in a nearby unlocked room with a small chest. Not sure if I just got very lucky with random loot or if this is missing from the wiki and needs to be fixed. I'm not making an edit in case this is a bug or some other form of anomaly, since I don't want to spread misinformation. If this is correct though, adding it to the list would be very helpful considering there are very few locations with two grand soul gems, especially two so close together and not requiring stealing. 7script (talk) 09:13, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

Checked in the CS; all three of the chests in the tomb contain nothing but random leveled loot. Consider yourself fortunate! — Wolfborn(Howl) 09:23, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
