Delodiil[edit]

I do think it might be in its place to mention in one way or another that the game seems at times to imply that The Hollow City might be Ayleid city of Delodiil. The most recent edit seems to conclude quite firmly that it is, further mentioning several elements that is fit to support the conclusion.

However, the way it is written seems more like original research than in-game facts. It further ignores any countering facts, such as The Hollow City being built in Imperial Cyrodilic style, not Ayleid, and the presence of guild halls for the Second Era founded Fighters Guild and Mages Guild.

Since the recent edit has been standing unopposed for nearly two full days, I guess it has got some support, so rather than making any changes directly, I find it reasonable to ask for second opinions here before I do anything. —MortenOSlash (talk) 06:33, 31 October 2016 (UTC)

We were talking about this a while back on Lore talk:Delodiil. Lawrence Schick almost confirmed that they are supposed to be the same place by directing someone to The Whithering of Delodiil for history of the Hollow City. --Enodoc (talk) 10:32, 31 October 2016 (UTC)
Thanks. Good thing I asked first, then. I had totally forgotten about that discussion.
If that is so I believe the article might even possibly benefit from having The Whithering of Delodiil as a reference in a couple of places? —MortenOSlash (talk) 17:56, 31 October 2016 (UTC)
I find the contribution of Online:Ripped_and_Discarded_Page far from trivial, as it effectively proves that Hollow City _is_ Delodiil. it's in the Fighters' Guild on a desk. Manavortex (talk) 23:57, 10 January 2018 (UTC)
I was going to remove your edit too but was slower than Aran. What you posted is not trivial, however, it doesn't conform with how lore pages should be written, particularly the part where it should be from a person in Tamriel's perspective. Your edit broke the 4th wall for that style. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 00:19, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
That note also appears in the Library of Dusk. I think the only reason it's in the Fighters Guild is as an Eidetic Memory collection backup, since you can't get back to its original location in the Library of Dusk after the quest. Eidetic Memory notes in quest-locked locations turn up like this all the time in guildhalls and other prominent locations after their related quest is completed. --Enodoc (talk) 00:36, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
I knew about the Library of Dusk after checking where that note was supposed to be. But they always put the Eidetic Memory backups into lore-appropriate spots. Since they could have placed that pretty much everywhere but chose to put it into Hollow City I figure that's at least a confirmation of Schick's statement on Reddit?
Sorry about breaking the 4th wall - I need to read up on stuff more it seems. Manavortex (talk) 08:00, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
