It's in the Daggerfall Chronicles. rpeh •TCE 16:25, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
I dont have Daggerfall, Could you tell me something more specific or give me a link please. --95.114.244.203 16:31, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
Afraid not. It's a book published by Bethesda in 1996 - real world, not in-game, but since it's Bethesda, it counts as canon. rpeh •TCE 16:34, 10 March 2011 (UTC)

Okay, thank you. --95.114.244.203 16:36, 10 March 2011 (UTC)

Date of death[edit]

Anyone got Helseth's date of death? — Unsigned comment by Emzi43 (talkcontribs) at 18:56 on February 13, 2012

Dark Elves are long-lived. He's not necessarily dead, though it seems unlikely he survived all of the various disasters that hit Morrowind. Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 10:13, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
As far as we know, Helseth had no children. And because he is likely dead, does that mean that Karliah is the heir to the throne of Morrowind? Jyggorath (talk) 17:38, 31 January 2013 (GMT)
That sort of discussion is best suited for the forums, but the capital of Morrowind is "now" Blacklight, with is a Redoran city. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 19:03, 31 January 2013 (GMT)

References[edit]

From the article:

In a shrewd political maneuver, King Helseth, representing his own House Hlaalu, formed an alliance with House Dres. Subsequently, he renounced the slave trade, setting the remaining Houses of Indoril and Redoran against him in a bloody civil war. Helseth emerged from the war battered, but without the loss of his essential powers, leaving the slave trade generally destroyed, and slavery without a foothold in all of Tamriel, although the practice persists in remote areas away from Mournhold.

Where exactly does this whole paragraph come from? The pocket guide states that a brief, but bloody conflict (maybe even a civil war) took place, but never mentions any particular sides forming, only vaguely describes them as being "far from expected". Can anyone shed some light on this or should it be rewritten? -- kertaw48 19:56, 9 May 2012 (UTC)

Oblivion "rumors" dialogue:
"They say that King Helseth has made an alliance with House Dres. Together they pick apart the carcass of ruined Indoril."
"I have heard that the Great Houses of Morrowind are in upheaval. Indoril is in ruins, and Redoran is besieged by the Nords of Skyrim."
"They say that slavery has been abolished in Morrowind. House Dres and Hlaalu have renounced the slave trade, and freed the beastfolk from servitude."
Unless Indoril is allied with Redoran or Redoran supports slavery, I don't know if Redoran is involved in the house conflict. Vely►Talk►Email 17:21, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
Yes, besides the Redoran being a part of the conflict (which I assume someone misunderstood the second rumor), the following two things remain unreferenced:
"Helseth emerged from the war battered, but without the loss of his essential powers,"
"although the practice [slavery] persists in remote areas away from Mournhold."
Sounds awfully specific. Is there a list of all Oblivion rumors? -- kertaw48 18:09, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
I found the rumors I listed through Google. I don't know of a list of all of them, though, unless you can find them all in CSList or the CS itself. Vely►Talk►Email 18:16, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
