J'ghanor, a Khajiiti member of the Skyweaver Clan

Skyweaver Clan was one of numerous clans of Reachfolk that lived in the city of Markarth in the Reach during the Second Era.[1][2]

Skyweaver Clan was one of the more open-minded clans and was known to have non-Reachfolk members in its ranks. One of such member was J'ghanor, a Khajiit dancer from Elsweyr who was escaping the threat caused by Dragons.[2] They were known for their weatherworking skills, hence the clan's name of Skyweaver.[3]

Another ability they were known for was their dancing. Although Reachfolk are known to dance often and are perceived as great dancers by the outsiders in general,[4] the Skyweavers valued this ability very highly, to the point they were willing to accept skilled dancers into their ranks. One of their dances was known to involve a lot of fire.[2]

History[edit]

In 2E 582, the Gray Host descended onto the Reach to search for an ancient artifact of great power. Many of the Reachfolk clans stayed in Markarth at the behest of Ard Caddach,[5][6] the Skyweaver Clan among them.[1]

At some point, their footing with the Timberclaw Clan became more uncertain. This event was preceded by the peace agreement between Timberclaw Clan and the Starsinger Clan. Those conflicts and alliances were recorded by one of the city administrators.[1]

Superstitious rumors about the Skyweaver Clan were spread among the Markarth citizens. Some claimed that they were capable of flight. Some citizens, however, worked to dispel the harmful rumors in an attempt to stop the disinformation.[3]

In the same year, an Argonian merchant named Ahlu arrived in Markarth, led by the dancing light. The Skyweavers expected his arrival, even though the Argoninan himself was not acquainted with them before.[7]
