Santaki ca. 3E 405

Santaki is a small, landlocked county in the northern portion of Hammerfell and is located in the Iliac Bay region. Santaki's position between the Alik'r Desert and the Dragontail Mountains provides it access to two different biomes. The desert wastes in the southwest half of the county and the forests in the smaller northeast half.[1][2] The Knights of the Hawk is Santaki's local knightly order but despite that, they are mainly based in Antiphyllos.[3] The Khulari clan of vampires are active in the region.[1]

History[edit]

By 3E 405, Santaki was ruled by an unnamed Count and its patron deity was Stendarr, who is represented through the Temple of Stendarr. The county was surrounded by the unconquered territories, namely the Alik'r Desert to the west, the Dragontail Mountains to the east. To the south, it is bordered by Dakfron.[2] In 3E 417, the Miracle of Peace occurred across the Iliac Bay, and the smaller nations of the region were annexed by the main kingdoms. Santaki was taken over by the Kingdom of Sentinel, at the time ruled by Queen Akorithi.[4]

Santaki is a walled city located in Hammerfell and it is the capital of the eponymous county in the northern section of the province. It is found in the desert, near the border toward Dak'fron.[5] By the fifth century of the Third Era, Santaki was the region's only city, and as such, had access to most services in the area. The only Fighters Guild and Mages Guild chapters in Santaki were available here and the Bank of Santaki had only one other business in the region, that being in the town of Badai.[1]
