Aerin was a Bosmer thief and a master of light armor in the late Third Era. She was a trainer in the use of light armor and was an expert on the various styles.[1][2] She was also highly proficient at sneaking and acrobatics and was known to offer training in these skills as well.[2][3]

Biography[edit]

At some point between 3E 246 and 3E 427, Aerin served as a mercenary in the King of Solitude's army, together with a fellow Bosmeri mercenary named Menegur. She went with the army on incursions into Morrowind, but eventually arrived at the allied fortress of Cascabel Hall in Skyrim in the company of the King's army during Solitude's war against Farrun. However, she disliked the cold of Skyrim and fled the army before the King departed Cascabel, choosing instead to return to Morrowind and live life as a fugitive. The King of Solitude and the Count of Cascabel Hall eventually departed the castle, leaving Menegur as the sole defender. The castle soon came under siege, but Menegur had been trained in the use of netch leather armor by Aerin and used this to survive his encounters with enemy soldiers and thereby avoid starvation. Peace was eventually brokered, and—as the sole occupier of the castle for at least three months—Menegur became the new Count of Cascabel Hall under Imperial law.[1]

Upon her return to Morrowind, Aerin made her way to the island of Vvardenfell. Circa 3E 427, she was staying in the Andus Tradehouse in Maar Gan, where she offered advanced training services.[2]

Aerin subsequently moved to Cyrodiil and became known across the province as a gifted acrobat. She set up camp in the northeastern corner of the province, high in the Jerall Mountains far north of Cheydinhal.[3][4] She eventually moved on, but the camp remained, fittingly known as Aerin's Camp. Circa 3E 433, the Hero of Kvatch was referred to Aerin for advanced acrobatics training, but arrived to find her camp occupied by a Nord named Torbern. He had never met Aerin, but happened to be a master of acrobatics himself and offered to train the Hero in her stead.[5][6]
