Unmarked Cave

Unmarked Cave is a small cave containing animals, located west of Greenwood and southeast of Reman's Fist. It contains one zone: Unmarked Cave.

Notes

• Unmarked Cave also appeared in Oblivion.
• True to its name, the cave does not have a map marker. To reach it, follow the paved road to Chorrol west from Greenwood. Just before you come across the Ayleid well and Talos shrine, turn onto the dirt track heading south and follow it briefly.
• This cave contains 44 Hanging Moss plants, 14 Wisp Stalk plants and 8 Cairn Bolete plants.

Walkthrough

Exterior

Outside the cave you will find a deer and either a rabbit, fox or gray fox, as well as six Motherwort Sprig plants, five Wormwood plants and four Steel-Blue Entoloma plants.

Unmarked Cave

The stalactite and stalagmite chamber

Upon entering, after a short tunnel you will find yourself overlooking a deep sinkhole with a waterfall pouring down and light streaming in from an open ceiling. Make your way down the path winding around the sinkhole, dispatching two rats on your way to a ledge with a skeleton corpse and a chest. From here you can snipe at the bear below or continue west until you reach another bear, a gold ore vein and two more skeletons.

Press on south and you will reach a three-way intersection. First head northeast to the bottom of the sinkhole, where you will find a bear and a dead High Elf. Jump down into the water to access a hidden chest. Head back to the intersection and take the southeastern tunnel this time, following until you reach a beautiful room filled with stalactites and stalagmites. Here you will find another bear, a silver ore vein and a blood-soaked campsite with the remains of two bandits, two bedrolls and a chest. In the southeastern corner of the room are a dead Breton, a gold ore vein and a gold purse.

Track back again and this time take tunnel heading west. After avoiding a few bear traps you will arrive in a room with four rats, a blood-soaked bedroll and the corpse of Telenis Nonno, a once-aspiring writer of erotic literature. On the table nearby are an empty skooma bottle, his book The Lustful Khajiiti Skooma-Peddler and the unique Quill of Superior Writing. His knapsack nearby contains two leveled potions and copies of The Sultry Argonian Bard, v1, The Sultry Argonian Bard, v2, The Lusty Argonian Maid, v1 and The Lusty Argonian Maid, v2. A further tunnel to the northeast leads to the privy.
