The Jerall Mountains in the far north of County Bruma

The mountains form the northern border of County Bruma and County Cheydinhal, with the Pale Pass providing access to Skyrim. The mountain range merges to the east with the Valus Mountains and to the west with the Colovian Highlands.

The mountains' harsh, cold climate make them relatively inhospitable, but unlike in Skyrim, there are a number of settlements present on the Cyrodiil side. The county seat of Bruma is the only city found in the Jeralls, but smaller settlements include the holy city of Sancre Tor, the ancient Blades fortress Cloud Ruler Temple, the Imperial Legion's Fort Pale Pass and the villages of Applewatch and Mountain Watch. The Silver Road winds its way down from the Skyrim Border Gate, through the Jeralls and then onto the Imperial City.

Other points of interest include the imposing Gnoll Mountain with its famous Frostcrag Spire, the cold lake of Reman's Mirror (source of the Silver River), the Daedric shrine to Namira, the Ayleid ruins of Sedor and Rielle, and Fort Horunn.

The mountains' flora consists largely of hardy plants able to survive in the cold: Clouded Funnel and Tinder Polypore mushrooms, Milk Thistle, Motherwort and Wormwood.
