- During the Signal Fire Sprint in Bergama, light all signal fires in 35 seconds or less.
Signal Fire Zephyr is awarded for lighting all 4 signal fires in Bergama during the Signal Fire Sprint celebration for The New Life Festival, all within 35 seconds. It helps to scout out the locations of the signal fires before lighting any of them so you can plan your route. The fires are all on the raised walkway system above the city, and you cannot use a horse or other mount on these walkways. The signal fires are located at the following locations:
- On top of Bailiff Fakimal's House (map)
- On the walkway east of Bailiff Fakimal's House (map)
- On the walkway south of A'tor's Oasis (map)
- On top of Magistrate Sulma's House (map)
Notes[edit]
- Using skills that increase your Movement Speed will help a great deal, such as Rapid Maneuver. Try and combine a Major Expedition and Minor Expedition effect if you can. The Fiord's Legacy set which drops in Eastmarch can combine with both of these effects for even greater speed. The Steed sign helps, as do Speed or Restore Stamina potions.
- The timer (which appears in the upper right corner of your screen) starts when you light the first fire and ends when you light the last. (Even though Aubatha tells you to come to her quickly after that point, there's no rush anymore.) It counts down from 60 seconds, so if you're at the last fire and don't think you're going to make it before the 25 second mark, just don't light it - instead go back to Aubatha and wait for the timer to run out completely and you can try again as many times as you want. Otherwise, you'll either have to wait a day to try again, or abandon the quest and restart it, which involves 2 load screens going to Breda in Eastmarch and back.
- You can make this much easier on yourself by grouping with another player. That way each of you only needs to light 2 fires. You could do it even faster with a group of 4 where each player gets their own fire, but this is probably overkill.
- Skills which increase your speed but also deal damage (e.g. Path of Darkness or Boundless Storm) are not recommended unless you turn off attacking innocents in your game settings. Otherwise, you might have to deal with interference from guards.
