Welcome/Show Preview[edit]

Hello and welcome to UESPWiki! Thanks for your interest in the wiki; however, you seem to have been making multiple edits to a page by not using the show preview button, clogging up the Recent Changes in the process. We appreciate your enthusiasm, but keep in mind that each edit needs to be patrolled, so multiple consecutive edits create an unnecessary hassle on those who patrol. So please utilize this feature! You may also want to look over our style guide and Getting Started guide. Feel free to ask if you have any questions. --DKong27 Talk Cont 15:27, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

You have made eleven edits so far to the same page. Please use preview, and do all of your edits at once. So many edits to the same page are hard to patrol. --Brf 16:33, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

New images[edit]

Hi. Good work on the NPC images, but they have to be SQUARE, as they're used for introduction of the NPC. Could you re-upload square versions of the ones you uploaded before? I already added 2 cleanup-tags, but it's easier to just let you know. Thanks ~ Dwarfmp 18:19, 16 January 2011 (UTC)

Thanks Dwarfmp I didn't notice that the ratios had to be 1:1 for NPC's; the images will be fixed in the coming days. In future however, please refrain from leaving "one-worders" - particularly in capitals - on the cleanup notices; even if it is only intended to be temporary or for myself to read only. It can be confusing to other users and visitors. RaidensTechSupp 03:38, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

Great Job![edit]

I've been looking through your latest images, and I must say - they're great! Time to enjoy a bakery treat ;) Keep 'em comin'! xD --SerCenKing Talk 11:22, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

Thanks SerCenKing, I've taken a little break for now on the images for Oblivion; but once I've finished the OM quest sandboxes, they'll be plenty more to come :D RaidensTechSupp 02:52, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

Oblivion Mobile stuff[edit]

Just in case it's of any use to you, I thought I'd point out several sandboxes I started on, but couldn't progress with since my phone doesn't play OBMobile correctly. All of these have some info, though some of it's duplicated. --GKtalk2me 18:20, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

Thanks GK, yeah these are good I should be able to use/merge them with the pages I've done. Once I do a few more quest pages, we can deploy this stuff on the actual page and go from there. OM doesn't work on a lot of mobiles, so I have to use a java app emulator on my computer. If you're still interested in playing, I can see if I can find you a download link for it. This is for loads of stuff, but I'm ashamed that what finally prompted me to give you the award was this edit summary. I don't want to encourage innuendo: it's possible you've created a rod for the site, and it could get hard. In this case, though, it looks like you saw an opening and dived into it. That's to be rewarded. You've been doing great stuff. I hope you can keep it up. ;) rpeh •TCE 01:54, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

lol, I had to read that a few times to get the puzzled look off my face. Thanks Rpeh, it's great to know I'm making myself useful around here :) RaidensTechSupp 02:52, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

OB Mobile Image[edit]

Simple question: HOW??? Presumably what works there will work for SH and DS, and will make our lives a LOT easier. rpeh •TCE 00:34, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

OM-OBM on an emulator.png

I use a java app emulator. The .jar file from my mobile was copied to my PC and I just run it off that. This particular one is called KEmulator and can emulate a number of handsets. Then its a matter of printscreen and cropping. A similar method I imagine is how sites like these get all their images. I'm doing a little research at the moment about the emulator's origins and license, so I'll get back to you on that part if you were curious about the subject.

I'm also very interested in this emulator. It looks fishy, and I can't find much information about it, but it's just what I've been looking for. Has it given you any trouble? What version are you using? I hope to have your reply. :) Legoless 11:43, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
At first it did look a little fishy. The creator has closed his blog and most of the emulators coverage on the internet isn't in english. A search of "Kemulator" on youtube will yeild a number of gameplay videos and show you basically what I see on screen. I'm using KEmulator Lite v0.9.8. It emulates trouble free as long as you set it to a handset that is compatible with the game. The only software problem I've found, is that the record and screenshot features in it don't actually seem to work (at least on my machine) meaning all my screenshots have to be printscreened and cropped. RaidensTechSupp 02:42, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
I tried it out, but when I opened the .exe it told me I need to download something called 'Midp2Exe'. I don't relish the thought of downloading more suspicious files. Have you received the same message, and if so how did you go about fixing it? Legoless 19:12, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Yes, it does sound suspicious. KEmulator should come as a singled zipped folder with exe that can run without installation. As far as I know Midp2Exe is another, far less compatible java emulator. I'm not entirely clear on the USEP policy of posting links to download sites, but I can email you the link I got mine from, or even the .rar itself if it would be easier. RaidensTechSupp 00:22, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

Thanks. I've sent over an email. Legoless 17:28, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

Email[edit]

Just in case you don't check your email often, I wanted to mention that I'd sent you one. Thanks! --GKtalk2me 15:50, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

Random nitpick[edit]

You are making a lot of edits, think you can add something to your user page so there aren't a bunch of red links on the recent changes page? With all due respect, of course!--Catmaniac66 03:35, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

That's cool. Sorry for the late response. It should be fixed now. RaidensTechSupp 01:14, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
Nah, its all good, thanks for that!--Catmaniac66 01:16, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

Redirects[edit]

Hey R! I see you have launched your ton of brilliant work to the OBMobile pages, using the "move" function, in the process creating redirects back to your Sandboxes. Now, normally I would simply delete the redirects, but that will basically mean the end of your Sandboxes. Is this what I should do or do you want to use them for something else? --Krusty 09:19, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

Thanks Krusty, I think, if it's easier for you, the sandboxes can be deleted - with the exception of 15 and 16, which have yet to be added. If you do delete the redirects though, will the pages be gone entirely or just blanked? I don't mind just continuing numbering each sandbox I make, but I wouldn't want to finish up in the end having 50 or so blank pages wasting space on the site. RaidensTechSupp 06:09, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
I suggest you that instead of moving them, copy the entire code from the sandbox to the article. That way you can re-use the sandboxes, and if you have sanboxes you wont need anymore, simply add the {{speedydeletion}} template to them and Krusty will gladly delete those.
A curiosity: The edits made to the moved sandbox from before the move, can be seen as unpatrolled by Userspace Patrollers but we can not patroll them as they are not in userspace anymore. --Wizy (Talk/Contribs) 07:08, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
Wizy is right, although it is a bit late; if I do the Speedy Deletion thing (which I will not do unless you ask me), the entire Sandbox will be gone, not just the redirect. The pages will stay in OBMobile namespace where you put them, but I know from experience that people sometimes want new Sandboxes after finishing such a "grand" project. If you want to keep the Sandboxes, simply delete the redirects from them manually. --Krusty 09:13, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

Cookie Time[edit]

PlateofCookies.gif
You have been given a plateful of cookies!

Really great work on the Oblivion Mobile pages! From nothing to a complete set of item/quest pages in almost no time - that's superb stuff. rpeh •TCE 08:20, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

One of these cookies are definitely from me; like I said elsewhere, a superb accomplishment and a textbook example of really good wiki-work, a ton of patience and a willingness to "finish" what you started. Great job! --Krusty 09:09, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

New Image Edit for Sancre Tor Prison[edit]

I have an edit that shows the location of the secret door in the Prison level of Sancre Tor, but since I don't have a wiki account and have no idea of how to run this thing, send me an email at insanestrawberry@gmail.com and I will send you the image. I also made a Youtube video available that shows you how to find the door. You can watch it here at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVqXPQz0dpM&feature=channel_video_title — Unsigned comment by 71.210.1.46 (talk) on 21 June 2011
