Welcome[edit]
Hello Draco! Welcome to UESPWiki. It's always good to have new members. If you would like to help improve any of our pages, you may want to take a look at the following links:
- Policies and Guidelines: UESPWiki standards and expectations
- Quick Editing Guide: a quick guide to wiki markup
- Getting Started: how you can help
If you, on the other hand, would like to spice up your userpage, take a look at this link:
- Userboxes: near complete list of userboxes, including a guide to make your own
When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our patrollers really appreciate it!).
Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox and don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors if you need any help. Have fun! --Wizy 18:36, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
Copying Material[edit]
Do not copy material from other websites onto UESP. You took that walkthrough from GameFAQs or possibly Cheats Guru, OblivionWalkthrough.com or one of the other dozen sites that host it. Stealing credit by adding your name was a particularly low thing to do.
When you edit a page you always get a note saying "Any content you submit must not violate copyright." because doing so can cause serious problems for UESP. If you do it again you'll receive an official warning. rpeh •T•C•E• 19:09, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
Warning[edit]
Please do not add copyrighted material to UESPWiki, as it is against the law to do so. Your latest edit was copied verbatim from here. If you continue to abuse your editing privileges, this account will be blocked from editing. —rpeh •T•C•E• 18:17, 29 November 2010 (UTC) |
Blocked[edit]
This account has been blocked from editing UESPWiki for repeatedly adding copyrighted material to UESP despite having been warned twice to stop doing so. The latest example was once again taken from this site. If you wish to appeal the block, you may make your request on your talk page, which you can still edit even while being blocked. --Krusty 19:28, 30 November 2010 (UTC) |
