Elder Scrolls Online: Markarth Confirmed for Fourth Quarter Expansion — September 10, 2020

The Elder Scrolls Online team have announced the name of the concluding chapter of the Dark Heart of Skyrim storyline, Markarth. The name suggests the expansion will focus on the City of Stone itself, and that the expansion will take place in and around The Reach, as previously suspected. While it was announced earlier that the fourth quarter expansion would be named Darkstorm, ZeniMax Online Studios claims that they changed the name for the simple reason that they preferred Markarth over Darkstorm.

On Saturday, September 19th at 3PM EDT the ESO team will host a stream on Bethesda's official Twitch Channel to give a preview of the expansion. Additionally, they will be making announcements about future in-game events, and reveal a new promotion. As a further incentive to watch, those who view the stream live will receive the pet Purple Torchbug pictured in this story.
